One of our favorite spots in Scottsdale. Food, service, and atmosphere are always perfect. They go above and beyond to make your experience one to remember. Can’t recommend enough.

I just went here for the first time last night and it was amazing. I moved to AZ five years ago, and I've always wanted to go, but I struggled to make friends in this new state. It was my birthday and I couldn't find anyone to spend it with, so I eventually decided to book a table for one because I waited long enough. I was already down, but I didn't let that stop me from going. The staff didn't know this, but they were SO KIND to me, even giving me two complimentary drinks. Serenity was such a sweet server and I appreciate her so much. It was an awful day for me, but they helped turn my night around. I am just happy this birthday can be memorable thanks to the service and food quality that I received from here.

Filet had so much fat on it , I could hardly eat it. Waitress acted like we were lucky she waited on us. Great place to eat if you just want to say you ate there but if you want a great meal with good service I would go to buck and riders .

Brunch was delicious! Service is amazing and very fun, energetic and knowledgeable. They greet you with a welcome cocktail and small snacks to get you started. Drinks all tasted good and they give you multiple juices and fruits you can add to your mimosas. We ordered the beef carpaccio, oysters and crudo for starters. Everything was fresh and super tasty. We also ordered steaks, scallops, seafood, and eggs for the brunch main courses. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. The bacon is thick and smokey and some of the best you will have. The banana foster is super delicious, they cook it right in front of you and is a solid way to end the meal. This place never disappoints!

GROUP GOT VERY SICKWe had a group of 5 and it was our first time at Maple and Ash. We went there to enjoy a nice dinner before our flight back home the next morning. They sat us directly in front of the kitchen. I wore a short dress but still ended up getting so hot I thought I was gonna pass out. I had to go to the bathroom to cool off twice before the food came out.I ordered the filet mignon which was okay, I was expecting a lot more though. Toward the end of our meal, my sister let me try her steak (she got the NY strip) which was more expensive than mine. I took one small bite and was completely flabbergasted. It was probably one of the worst steaks I have ever tasted. I made a face and she just said “yeah I know”. I asked her why she didn’t say anything this whole time, but I already knew the answer: She is shy and isn’t that person to ever say something to a server at a restaurant. But gosh, it tasted like cleaning supplies to me… something was off about it. I understand the steaks have a unique flavor because they cook them over Maple and Ash, but my filet didn’t taste anything like hers!!!! It was so odd, but we just let it go because we were all almost done eating at this point. We finished up, paid the bill and got a ride back to the Airbnb. And that’s when our guest of honor (the bride to be) got so sick she barely made it back home to use the bathroom. She said she felt HORRIBLE that night. Then, my sister (NY strip girl) and I (filet mignon girl) both got very sick that night and the next day. I woke up for my flight at 2 AM with some of the worst stomach cramps of my life. I managed to make it to the airport and board the plane, but it was rough let me tell you! I have never had a more miserable plane ride in my life. In the middle of the flight I had to stand in the back of the plane with the flight attendants for a while because I was so nauseous. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced, and truly a miserable time. Then, when I returned home, Monday around 11 AM, I couldn’t even go to my evening classes because I was still feeling so unbelievably sick. It’s Wednesday now and I am feeling better, besides for the fact that my sister and I have very sore throats and terrible coughs. Obviously, that could be from about anything so I’m not pointing fingers at the restaurant, but it is an awfully coincidental timing. At the end of it all, the only person from the group who said she felt perfectly fine was the one who ordered a lobster tail.THE GOOD THINGS:Our server was really great! He was very professional and explained the menu to us with enthusiasm. He even brought us extra mashed potatoes for no extra charge because he thought what the kitchen brought us wasn’t enough. He catered to us as though he truly cared for our experience! As a matter of fact, all the staff there did. I asked the person that refilled our waters where the bathroom was and he personally escorted me. Their staff did a really great job and they are clearly trained very well on how to properly care for the guests. Our favorite foods were, sadly, the side dishes. Amongst us we had ordered chicken, steak, and lobster, yet the sides stood out the most to us. They were each unique in their flavors and you could tell they were handcrafted by a very talented chef. The sides are the reason I give the food two stars instead of one.

Absolutely do not waste your money here. The food is good but nowhere near good enough for the price. I treated my mom and husband to dinner here and it was so incredibly loud. We were sitting next to a very large and very obnoxious group of people, and it was so bad that the wait staff had the audacity to say to me, “wow ya’ll are at the wrong table- sorry about all that” (it was an incredibly INSINCERE apology). it was to the point that I couldnt even converse with my family because we couldnt hear each other. Many other guests and restaurant staff kept making comments about the group’s behavior, but refused to actually tell the group to lower their voices and be respectful. All in all, the atmosphere was loud, rushed, and cramped. I wasted $700 of my hard earned money to eat here and it was a horrible experience. I truly regret taking my family here and I will never return. Never in my life have I been treated like that at a restaurant.

First time at Maple & Ash! 5 star experience through and through. Alfred our server made it extra special. The details of this place didn’t go unnoticed. It was over the top! The music and candles made the vibe perfect. I can’t wait to return!!! Highly recommend. Food was amazing as well. 10/10

Waited an hour to get in (no complaints there). Service was beyond excellent. The way the restaurant is organized is great. Steaks were definitely subpar - my bone in ribeye was chewy and my girlfriends was burnt and dry (even though I ordered Pittsburgh rare, not her; she ordered medium rare and it was more medium and burnt). To top it off, two tables of drunk and loud teenagers were in there ( not the restaurants fault, but even their waitress had enough at one point). In summary, you won't get the bang for your buck there. Would not come back.

The first time I dined in, I had an amazing experience. I was in on Thursday 4/11 with a group of 8 at 7:15 for my birthday. First of all, we got told we didn't look old enough by our server & acted as if we were showing her fake IDs. It took around 30 minutes for her to take our food order. Took another 45 min- an hour to actually get the food (8:30). Told her we were in a slight hurry to leave, but that went past her head. She came back with one single check and proceeded to tell us she couldn't split the check. Being a server myself, I was extremely disappointed in how we were treated and this server needs to be fired asap. This is the first time I have ever not left a tip, when i always tip more than 25%. We got treated like we were 15 year Olds, not 24+ year olds....not to mention my name was spelled wrong on the menu.

I recall my first visit to Maple & Ash in Chicago. One of the best steaks and actually meals, 8 recall. In Scottsdale for business, very happy to see a location here. Atmosphere is great like the original. Sadly, food is subpar and the service, from the bartender to management is embarrassing for these price points. Never again.
