Average experience for above average prices. Have been to Nobu (other locations) before and this was a bit of a disappointment. The quality of the nigri was great but the cut rolls left something to be desired. My favorite part of the meal was the cheesecake with passionfruit foam.

Excellent food and attentive service. The miso cod and lamb chops, along with the sushi and sashimi, were perfection but the chicken teriyaki lacked depth of flavor and is served in large slices which are too big to enjoy (they have to be chomped instead of savored).

The food was fresh and delicious! We sat in a semi private area off to the side which was so much quieter and more quiet for conversation. The service was excellent too.

Very slow service. Our server had several tables and was hard to track down to order. The lady who brought us our food wouldn't place another order for our drinks. Our drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive after ordering.

Was not impressed , we had high expectations for the omasake and it did not nearly meet them

Came at 8/45 pm, just super crowded and loud... been in Nobu in 3 other countries, didn't expect such vibe in the USA service is lower than average, had to remind waiters to bring us water , after 3rd time they did... Took omakase, wasn't impressed at all, super average if you been to Japan or normal restaurant. Price on high end, isn't justified by service and vibe. Very loud as well.

My son wanted to go to Nobu for his birthday. He had been there in a different city and liked it. I agree that it was an amazing experience. The food is as artistically presented as it is delicious. You don't get a lot, but that doesn't matter because it is incredibly tasty and fun. Remember that you are going for the experience, not to get filled up. The cocktails were also really great. We learned from one of our servers, that the stamped cube of ice in my Southside cocktail had been created in Japan by special water and flown to Scottsdale! The atmosphere is stunning inside this restaurant. But be prepared! The cavernous space and numerous patrons make it very loud. And by tradition, all the servers yell out something in Japanese every time a new patron comes in. The service was excellent. Deep explanations if you ask, both about beverage and food crafting. They are attentive and there are typically two servers per table. They are all well-versed and knowledgable. They also dress the part, in simple black outfits that are smart and cut sharp. Servers seemed genuinely happy to see us and share their joy. They even brought a nice, very small birthday bite with a candle for us to celebrate. There were a few small hiccups to be aware of that falls under the service category: 1. After several rounds of sashimi and appetizers, we ordered a few lamb chops. It seemed like they forgot about us because it was about 20 minutes later that we finally received them. They were so tasty, and we had already had a good amount of food that it didn't matter that much, but important to note in a review. The restaurant was about half full. 2. Beware of the bill! The menu prices and the bill prices are different. The menu says a ketel one martini is $17, but the bill turned it into $21. Similar thing for food items. And then something that really grates on me: they brought out the handheld device to run my credit card, and tips used the taxable amounts! That's technically fraud.

We visited Nobu a couple years ago for our anniversary and loved it, but this time quite the opposite. The restaurant has really gone downhill in all areas. It's a shame really. Probably won't be back again.

The restaurant's training of an entire floor of staff at once is disruptive, with two waiters per table making navigation awkward. The ambiance feels like a hotel lobby, not fine dining. The food, like the garlic lobster with packet seasoning and frozen vegetables, was mediocre. Staff hovering with a credit card machine during payment felt unprofessional, more like a chain restaurant experience. this is definitely not the Nobu that you heard or experienced before

The restaurant contacted me and asked if I was celebrating a special occasion. I told them it was a birthday and they asked if they could have the birthday guest first name. They said if I purchased a dessert they would decorate it on a platter. When the server asked if I was celebrating anything, I really didn't wanna talk about it because it would have spoiled the surprise. I ordered the dessert and waited for the plate to come decorated. Nothing was mentioned, and there was nothing written on the plate. I was very disappointed. What was the point of asking me about the person we were celebrating or his name. Don't think I would go back to Nobu for a birthday occasion again.

Nobu Scottsdale is terrific. The food and service are always amazing! We love going there and discovering new dishes added to the menu.

The food was excellent sometimes I just wish there was more of it. Our bill was like $400 and we were a little hungry after we left but overall it was great.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was unmatched. We had a fantastic time and truly enjoyed our meal. Everything was perfect from start to finish.

For date night we did the fall omakase which was delicious! Our experience was good as always, however our server was not giving the service level you would expect from such a fine dining establishment. My second drink took 30 minutes to be received and she only noticed after 2 courses were delivered to check on it. We were rarely checked on I'm assuming because the omakase was running the courses on time. I was also very disappointed that she didn't ask towards the end of our meal if we wanted another drink. Because the second drink took so long and she didn't ask we just stuck to water. Too bad I was really looking forward to a fun date night and the cocktails at Nobu are some of my favorites in Scottsdale. We've had this waitress a few times and each time it's a similar mid experience. Food is fantastic, the other staff are incredible, cocktails are the best, but this one waitress needs to start caring and step up her game.

Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. The chocolate hazelnut cake on special was incredible.
