This was our second visit to OBON Sushi. It’s a small Japanese restaurant in a convenient location, with nicely presented food and good flavors overall.

The main downside for us is the very limited vegan/vegetarian selection. There are basically only a couple of options, including the Vegan Bowl and the Veggie Gyoza. The Vegan Bowl is generously portioned and tastes good, but I do think the pricing is worth mentioning. The plant-based bowl with tofu...

I had the original ramen bowl and this has to be easily in the top-10 dishes I've ever eaten anywhere. It was spicy, but it overpowering; warm, earthy and simply delicious. The gentleman behind the bar was pleasant, friendly and helpful.

Great location. Has covered free public parking lot right next to the restaurant. So close to the lot entrance that you wouldn't get any rain or sun during extreme weather!

Ramen noodles are good, but the soup base tends to be a lot saltier than authentic Japanese ramen, or even when compared to several other ramen places in Scottsdale and Phoenix. We tried several different types of ramen orders here on several different occasions. Could be the soup base...
