This was my first time visiting Scottsdale, AZ and it will not be my last! One of the many reasons is this fantastic restaurant. Ashley was such a sweet and attentive waitress. I was impressed by her knowledge of the menu and she answered any questions we had. We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday there and they really made her feel special. But it gets even better. THE FOOD! We got the NY steak, clam linguini and the cream cheese & chives hash browns. Wow! Compliments to the chef. I highly recommend visiting this upscale classy restaurant!

Our server was very attentive and helped us get familiar with the menu. The truffle lobster was the best lobster I’ve ever tasted. I was very impressed by the cooking technique. Had an amazing time yesterday for our 25th anniversary! The restaurant is gorgeous, our server was amazing and had great recommendations and the food…. so good. Every single staff member we encountered was phenomenal. Crab and heirloom tomato and lobster escargot were great. The branzino and striped bass were cooked perfectly. The sides are massive and the desserts as well. Everyone went out of their way to make the afternoon one we won’t forget. Highly recommend Ocean 44 for anyone looking for one of the best places to enjoy a nice evening. We love great food and service and this hit the mark. We will definitely be coming back probably more than we should!

The décor, with its blend of dramatic and intimate vibes, set the perfect tone for our romantic evening. The service was impeccable—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly celebrated, even surprising us with a complimentary dessert to mark our anniversary. The menu was a seafood lover’s dream, featuring the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. We started with the Oysters au Gratin from their impressive 18-foot raw bar, which were divine, and the colossal shrimp cocktail was a standout. For entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked, melting in our mouths, and the USDA Prime steak was just as outstanding, showcasing their mastery of both seafood and steaks. The Boursin whipped potatoes and charred lemon aioli sides were unique and delicious, elevating the meal even further.

I was disappointed. We took our 25 year old son to celebrate his birthday. I ordered the Branzino and he ordered the Chilean Sea Bass. Both were good, but neither was outstanding. Only the chocolate ice cream cookie, the atmosphere and the service were outstanding. There are better restaurants in Phoenix for great fish. I had such high expectations since I love Steak 44. Really hope this restaurant improves their food.
Within a few days after posting this review, the restaurant sent a response directing me to reach out to their guest services. I did, but nothing. They do this to create the illusion that they are following up on reviews. Just understand that they don’t!

Everything about our experience was above any and all expectations. Our last night of our girls trip we wanted to splurge on ONE place and we choose Ocean44- it did not disappoint. Fried lobster tails were out of this world- delicious. Steak was done perfect. The lobster rolls were soooo good. Everything we had was top notch. Atmosphere was busy, vibing- but not loud. You could have a conversation easily.
Our server Hanna was SO wonderful and kind. Helpful and guided us on what to order. She was an absolute GEM.
