I love Parma! I've been here a handful of times and always the same quality. We sat on the patio for dinner since there was a large party inside and all but one of the heaters were either broken or out of propane. We were surprised by this since it's only March and not crazy to still be using heaters on the patio for chilly nights in AZ. That is my only complaint about our experience - we were all pretty cold since a big storm has just rolled in during our dinner.

Awesome food! Pasta is perfect, flavor is amazing. I had the vodka pasta. We also ordered the focaccia bread which was a TREAT! Served with warm oil & vinegar boat with butter on top! You have to try this place!

Our service by Manny was prompt and the kitchen was quick -- the restaurant was less than half full. So they were efficient. But Manny never checked back with us on how each dish was. In fact, while all the other dishes were quite good, the filet mignon was perhaps the worst we've had anywhere! We started with mushrooms on toast which was excellent. Have not had this dish since the Grandstand Grill in the Sheraton in Hong Kong many years ago. This was outstanding, loaded with cremini mushrooms, and flooded with a great sherry crema. The Caesar salad was fresh with large leaves of lettuce left uncut. Had to do some work to get through it. The filet, as mentioned, was poorly executed -- overcooked and grainy. The whipped potatoes were not bad, but rather lumpy. We would have sent it back, but my wife put up with it, and Manny, as we said, never checked back with us. The pappardelle Bolognese was very good. It was complemented with tender short ribs. The organic di Napoli tomato sauce was superb. We did not enjoy the ricotta as much. Parmesan shavings would have been better. We finished with a scoop of pistachio gelato. This was creamy, not too sweet, and generously filled with pistachios. On a weekend, one would imagine this place to be busier and noisier, since the bar seems to be at the center of the restaurant. Food is good but some execution issues with steaks.

We got together with a couple friends at Parma and were seated outside. We ordered a bunch of small plates, including Caesar salad, meatballs, mussels, grilled vegetables, rice balls and the 2 orders of the delicious focaccia bread. All the food was yummy, so was the wine and specialty cocktails. Our waiter, Cameron was very attentive and did a great job keeping the food & drinks coming. This restaurant is a great neighborhood spot, good food, great drinks and a warm, friendly atmosphere.

The food was bland unfriendly atmosphere. Very disappointing asked for bread and never received it. Do not recommend.

I had the chicken marsala. Sauce was good but chicken could have been more tender. Never offered Parmigiano cheese or pepper. Pasta noodles were very long and hard. Had 2 children 3 and 9 never offered a children's menu, had to ask. As previous reviews stated, no bread is offered. Service was ok but did not make you feel welcome.

We had a really nice time at Parma Italian Roots! Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area who likes great Italian food. Servings were quite plentiful - and we enjoyed the drinks, beer and wine.

If you go here, get the focaccia, I could live on it with a bit of olive oil and balsamic! I was disappointed with the HH pizza. It was not hot, clearly just a poor rewarm, and did not meet my bread/pizza expectations.

As always, Parma is amazing. Great food, atmosphere, people, and location. If you haven't been here yet, definitely give them a try, definitely worth it.

Returning to Parma after a few months I was very disappointed with the food. For the first time in my life I refused to eat my entree (agnolotti) and my husband refused to eat the salad— a mashup of antipasti. Tiramisu was basically a square of whipped cream. The service was great. The atmosphere was fine. Sad to have this experience.

We made reservations for 6 pm., arrived on time and were offered a tiny table by the front door. We objected, but were rejected by the oh so charming hostess. Save yourself time and money by going somewhere else.

Parma is one of our favorite Italian places in the north valley but I have to say we were a bit disappointed last evening. Sat outside on the patio and although it was chilly there were heaters available. We asked one to be placed near our table as we were starting to get a little cold. Worked for about 5 mins then it went out. Notified staff and it took a good 20-25 mins for them to get it replaced. Got it started again and all was good. Now we understand that it was mildly busy due to V-day but it was by no means packed. I share that because our food order took forever. Probably a good 30-40 minutes for just 2 dishes. Overall, it was a nice evening but a few tweaks would've made it more memorable.

Took a large group of picky eaters and everyone's meal was great. Food was fresh and delicious. Great variety even on the lunch menu. Service was a little slow, but they seemed a bit shorthanded like everyone. Food was so delicious it was worth the wait!
