RA Sushi Bar Restaurant

Monday, Oct 6. By energetic, I just mean loud. A sushi restaurant that loud with music, is alot.. it wasn't that it was crowded, maybe 4 tables plus one at the sushi bar... so it wasn't chatter. Our server was very nice & attentive. I didn't catch her name, I'm sure she said it but I could barely hear myself speak over the music. Don't know what I did with the receipt right now so I really can't look for her name, my apologies. So, we chose RA for a celebration dinner, but left feeling like we needed to try that again elsewhere... The food was seriously just ok. We've been there before, and to other locations. We've had similar experiences but I think this is the first time I'm reviewing. Usually that tends to mean we probably don't intend on going back again. I ordered Japanese Hot Green Tea. I drink a High Quality Japanese Sencha tea, but this tea tasted like mud. No where near grassy or vegetal. Just muddy. It was served with lemon which was odd to me & the color was a shade of green I haven't seen before, not in teas and not in a crayola box. I ordered steak teriyaki. The rice was not what you'd call sticky, it seemed old. Each grain was blending into the next. Like it was scraped from different sides of a pot(s) & plated that way. Can't explain it but iykyk. Should be served with zucchini, mushrooms & onions. There were disintegrated mushrooms & onions. If there was zucchini anywhere, it was left in the kitchen. I took the steak home to reheat for later because I forgot to tell my server medium well so it was very undercooked for me. MY fault. The teriyaki seasoning was very good. The miso soup was super salty. That just depends on the type of miso used. I asked my guest later how the sushi was because she left part of everything she ordered. Her response "It was ok" Not what I wanted to hear for a celebratory dinner! I wish I wasn't leaving this review. But I believe management needs to figure these things out though, so I am.

We had a delicious dinner at RA sushi bar. The shrimp tempura dishes were perfect. Excellent service as well.

They have a great happy hour here. Everything was very tasty and a wide variety of drinks. Will definitely come back. Great place for date night

Sat at the bar for Happy Hour. The food was okay- the tuna wasn't super fresh tasting, but overall it was fine for the cost.

We haven’t been to RA much the past year but we decided to retry it tonight and Tyler our server was amazing. He went above and beyond to make sure we were always taken care of and even made some amazing menu suggestions. Thanks to Tyler we will make this a regular spot again.

This was the perfect romantic ambiance dinner setting. The food and service were remarkable. Everything tasted superb. My mojito had way too much mint in it but other than that it was a great experience. The Sushi was fresh and tasted delicious. Would eat here again if I ever visit Arizona again.

The service was great, but the sushi didn’t really hit the mark for me. The California rolls were kind of mushy and bland, which was disappointing for my first visit. On the bright side, the chicken and fried rice were delicious and easily the best part of the meal.

Went during happy hour and this place was amazing! Our waiter Tyler was really attentive and gave some great recommendations. Sake was good and the sushi was great. Thank you!

I have been going to Ra since moving to Arizona 14 years ago. The good quality is always high and the variety is commendable. However, the prices have recently skyrocketed. Yesterday a group of 4 had 2 beers, 1 saki, and 8 rolls. Total was over $200 before tip. So please go and enjoy Ra, but be prepared for the high prices.
