I always couldn't wait to go back to the Americano, but the last 2 times it has gone downhill. I always get the lobster pasta and this time it was unrecognizable. The pasta was soft and overcooked. The only thing I tasted in the sauce was red pepper. The last time it had a little more taste and the pasta was al dente. The ceasar salad had curls on the edges from being exposed in the refrigerator and it was ICE cold. I'm all for spending the money on my special occasion meal, but so bummed when it is sub par. And I recommended it to my friends. Never again.

The waygu bolognese was delicious as was the spaghetti pompadour. Three guests had the rib eye special which were cooked inconsistently, one perfect, another very charred, and third very gristly, all ordered medium rare, so we were unable to finish 2 of them The server was exceptional. Out of town diners. Overall disappointing food experience with the exception of the pasta dishes.

Our server, Stefan, was very attentive and offered great suggestions. As always, the sommelier, Grant, poured a fabulous Brunello. The veal cutlet with burrata was unique and very tasty.

I went to have a nice dinner with my husband, we got there at 8:30 and we left and didn't eat because of the music. We are in our 40's and thought the music was terrible. It was like they were wanting a Miami nightclub experience. Most of the people in North Scottsdale don't want that kind of experience. This isn't old town. It's a shame because the food is great! Please cater to your clientele.

Terrible service ? Our servers seems to be hurrying us to get out there. He took away our knifes when we are still eating our bread, drinks and the bread plate away without asking us. They charged me for 3 x of my Ice tea it should be refillable and my girlfriend seems to feel got over charged for none alcohol drinks ? So we talked to one mgr to bring up the issues we had , He seems to be implying that we don't want to pay for our drinks and didn't listen to our main concerns. He said okay I'll take off 2 ice tea charge. It's like his doing me a favor.. NO Empathy at all ? ?????

What a difference a year makes! Enjoyed Americano last year but we were very disappointed last night. First, the service was not good at all. We had to ask for fresh ground pepper after the salads were “set” down. Our server was no where to be found. Same situation for the fresh Parmesan after the pasta dishes were served. All but 1 of the four entrees were just blah both in presentation and taste. So.....not a good experience at all this time.

It took 15min for server to even bring us water. Then another 10min to even order drinks and appetizers. The portions for the dinner entrées were very small but delicious. The atmosphere was great though. For the price I expected a little more though.

Loved the ambiance. Dark and moody, very elegant. The service was very good, if the server didn't know the answer, he found out. We even had the sommelier over to the table. I have zero complaints about the food quality or presentation but I didn't feel that the prices supported the menu offerings. If you order sides, order 1 per 2 people, they are small. Wine list is seriously lacking, that was the most disappointing. 5 options each red or white at an average of $26 a glass, the $130 bottle we ordered was a screwtop. This is a 1 and done experience for me

Outstanding

The food was way overpriced. The "italian french fries" which our waiter said would work for two people, was a small container no bigger than a medium order at McDonalds, and not as tasty. Steak was good, shrimp cocktail was good, but that was about it. All three of us got the wrong steaks delivered and had to shuffle them around to each other. For the price, go to any of the other nearby steakhouses.

My wife and I have been in Colorado, yes, sadly the worst gastronomic place in the world. We've tried a lot of different choices, to no avail, but yesterday was a different story. I come from an island with more than 500 years of culture, small but educated, in all senses of the word, and yesterday was as good as I ever had a meal back home, so thanks to everyone who played a part in all this!!!

This was our first time at Americano, having selected it based on location, menu and a rating indicating conversation was easy. It was an anniversary dinner (although we did not advise the restaurant of this) and we wanted an intimate evening. We can't say enough about our waiter, Stefan. He was friendly and attentive, but "read" our mood precisely offering service at just the right times. As we had anticipated, the food was outstanding, perfectly prepared and attractively served. Be aware that all this perfection comes with a price. Americano is not pub food, it is fine dining. Yet, for a special occasion, or even when we feel the need to be pampered, we will be returning.

We felt very welcomed and cared for from the moment we arrived. David was an excellent, well informed waiter. He offered great descriptions of food choices and took wonderful care of our table. The food and ambiance were excellent as always. We continue to place The Americano high on our list of favorite Scottsdale restaurants.

Americano has quickly become one of our favorite places to dine. The food and service are always on point. Beautiful spot to have a night out with friends, and the cocktails are amazing!

Our server went out of her way to make sure our experience was an excellent one as we're celebrating a very special anniversary. Thank you! Unfortunately my husband left his Michigan hat there and we are having a difficult time getting ahold of the restaurant

Ambiance was wonderful. Service was good. But for $70, my steak was over cooked and way too salty. Additionally, the macaroni formaggi tasted like something I could have ordered at Olive Garden. There are far better spots for half the price, like flemings.
