“The food, service, drinks, and décor are fantastic! However, the loud club and rap music was horrible. I am utterly confused about your blatant dismissal regarding the music choices. You claim to not be a traditional tiki bar, yet you are in every single way... except for the music! You call it a "modern twist" (whatever that means) and it just doesn't work with the theme. It's a real shame because the valley is seriously lacking a good tiki bar and you are SO CLOSE to being the best. It's very tragic, honestly. I would spend hundreds of dollars there (again and again), if you just embraced it and went all in with the whole tiki kit and cabooodle. Please enlighten me why ya'll are so dead set on not playing tiki music. Take a poll or do a trial run, see how it's received... something!!“
“If you like the kind of bar where expertise is on display and you can have a great conversation with both the owner and fellow patrons, then this is the place for you. My buddy and I are in the Phoenix area from Dallas for Spring Training and were extremely happy that we stopped in late. Captain David is an exceptional host, a fantastic guy, and runs an incredibly awesome bar. My night here was easily top 5 bar experiences ever. Pro tip: order The Last Rites and you will not be disappointed.“
“We always have had great experiences at Hula’s - love the atmosphere, food, and reasonably priced tiki-inspired drinks. Today the staff went above and beyond for us. We accidentally left behind our boxed-up leftovers. We returned several minutes later and they had already cleaned the table and threw the leftovers away. The waiter offered to make us a new entree at no charge. They definitely did not have to do this, but it was very much appreciated. We will definitely be back soon!Vegetarian options: They have a number of different options including a vegan tofu bowl, tofu tacos (my favorite), and a black bean burger, along with a number of vegetarian sides.“
“Such a cool place! Drinks are tasty (and strong) and the atmosphere is so fun. Definitely make reservations (although they do charge you $15 a person, which I thought was applied to your bill but that wasn’t the case, still worth it though). Greta place for a celebrationParking: There is a parking lot but both times we’ve been here, it’s been a struggle to find a spot. Ride share might be easier.“
“We were greeted with friendliness when we walked in the door. The items on the menu were diverse and creative, with a mix of more standard fare. The food was delicious with an enjoyable mix of seasoning and well cooked fare. The wait was appropriate for the cuisine. A wholly pleasing experience.“
