Easily the best food I've had in a couple of years and arguably the best sushi I've ever had. So, long story short, we went there for lunch on Valentine's Day. The food was good, like 4 stars, but the whole experience was more like 3.5. Our server was super nice, but he totally forgot half our order. We were even cool with paying extra for wasabi (yeah, they charge for it with sushi or sashimi). He brought the wasabi after we'd already finished our negitoro rolls, and he didn't even realize he'd messed up the rest of our order. Eventually, the last two things came out, and we also finished the wasabi. I figured they'd at least comp us a dessert or take the wasabi off the bill. Nope, $7 for wasabi at a Japanese restaurant! That costs more than their average sushi on the menu. It's shocking!

I may have just had the best meal of 2026..and I don’t think it’s too soon to say so. Never have I had edamame like this before. Every single dish I ordered was spectacular and mind-blowing. Uchi is one place I will definitely order from every time I am visiting Phoenix. And to think I almost ordered from a different sushi restaurant—thank god they don’t deliver!

My friend and I went here for Galentine’s Day and had the Valentine’s Day omakase. The meal was wonderful, but our night was made by our wonderful server, Blue. She was so warm and welcoming, had excellent drink recommendations, and truly made the night special. Definitely recommend going to Uchi and asking for Blue!

I made a reservation for 6:15 pm and notified the restaurant that I would be arriving at 6:30 pm, which according to their policy is still within the grace period. However, when I arrived at reception, I was informed that I would only have until 8:15 pm to finish dinner. In my entire life, I have never been told upon arriving at a restaurant that I had a fixed time limit to eat. Honestly, that should have been my cue to leave. The only reason I stayed was because they had my credit card on file and would have charged $150 if I canceled or did not show up.
We were then seated on the patio, even though I noticed there were additional tables available on the terrace. The atmosphere itself is pleasant and calm, a nice setting for conversation.
We ordered a bottle of sparkling water that never arrived but was included on the bill. When we mentioned it to our server, she even looked under the table to see if it had somehow been placed there. Aside from that issue, she was very kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations for sake and rolls.
We ordered four rolls and a shrimp tempura, and the food itself was very good. In fact, I ordered an additional roll because we were enjoying it. Unfortunately, that last roll took significantly longer than all the others. We ended up canceling it due to the delay, but they still brought it out packaged to go. To their credit, they did not charge for it and gave us two $25 gift cards for the inconvenience.
Overall, the experience was not entirely pleasant. While the food was good and the service staff tried to make things right, the rigid time limit and billing issues overshadowed the evening. I would not return.

Vivani (so sorry if I spelled wrong) our server was amazing. She knew all about the food and had a great personality. We arrived early for our reso but they got us in which was awesome. The food was out of this world good and we were so happy we did the Omakase and trusted the chef... He did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. If I could give any feedback, it's brutal you guys don't have a way to call and talk to the host stand. The automated system is really bad. If you guys use natural language ai it would be better but at a restaurant like this I should be able to get a hold of someone if I have any questions.

I've been to the original Uchi in Austin, TX and it's one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The Scottsdale location maintains this high standard with seasonal selections, impeccable service and preparation, and super human consistency. The service is also top notch and our waitress and support staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and really fun. This is a must visit if you are anywhere in Arizona.

Truly one of the best and most memorable meals of my life. We came out to celebrate the first night of our trip and it was an absolutely amazing experience. Our server Drew put together an absolutely amazing somakase menu for us, he took into account our favorites and also brought us things we wouldn’t have picked ourselves and absolutely loved. We also had a peanut allergy in our party and we felt so comfortable because both Drew and the other servers that delivered our food clarified that each dish was nut free. Everything we tried was amazing and the quality of the fish was unmatched. If we had had time in our trip we would have gone back again.

Third time at Uchi Scottsdale and it just keeps getting better. The first two visits we had Michelle (she’s a rockstar), and this time Gabe took care of us — super rad dude. Definitely missed Michelle, but she’s got some friendly competition now! 😄
This has become our yearly tradition coming in from Texas for the Phoenix Supercross, and Uchi is always a must-stop. The fish is incredibly fresh, the presentation is flawless, and the chefs are absolute masters of their craft. Every recommendation was on point — you can tell the team genuinely knows and loves what they’re doing.
It’s been awesome watching the staff grow together over the years. The consistency, the service, the vibe — all top tier.
