Wok 'N Roll Old Town ; Sushi, Music, Bar

I have frequented this restaurant a few times over the year and since I work close by, I tried to call my order in for pickup. Turns out you can only order through the website and one of the 7 or so delivery services. I tried calling twice, the first time there was nothing, the second time it was a recording that told me to go online for all the information and then it hung up. I do not have time not the desire to download another app or sign up for another service so I will be going somewhere that wants to take a phone order.

I have recently been getting food from this restaurant. The first few times I ordered for take out by coming to the restaurant, ordering, waiting there and taking away. The food was decent the first few times so a friend and I came back and dined in. They were having karaoke that night, but weren't too busy. We did not have great service at all. Asked for drinks multiple times and they came very very slow. I never did get the glass of water I requested. The food was good and we tipped the waiter well as we know sometimes people are busy or have an off day. This last time we ordered food for delivery since we enjoyed the first few times. We both opted for the noodles and were very much disappointed. The noodles were very plain and not what we expected based on our first few experiences.

I can forgive missteps and off days, however, I've seen the response by the owner on many of the negative reviews and they are far from professional. In some cases they are actually attacking patrons and accusing them of false posts. While I know this happens, accusations, attacks, rudeness and unprofessional behavoir should not occur. I will not patronize this establishment again. Not for the slow service, not for the one time of sub optimal food, but for the unprofessional and rude comments provided to some patrons.

Some things are good. Others are not. Last night i had orange chicken with noodles delivered. I got over cooked bland noodles and battered chicken with some orange slices. This cost $20. Its a shame because i have eaten there before at the restaurant and it was good. This time was bad. Is this how it is when i order for delivery vs eating there?

(Take out so probably unfair for review) Overall, Pricey for what you get—small portions of sushi rolls. Very disappointed in portion for the price.
Sauce for lettuce wraps was so SALTY!! And I love salt. Not enough lettuce either.

I ordered chow mein with tofu for pickup. It took awhile, which is no biggie, but the server working told me they mixed up my protein with another order and ended up putting beef in it so they were fixing the orders. Again, no problem.
I get home to eat my dish, only to have to pick out chunks of beef mixed throughout my dish which tells me they didn’t remake the food, they just tried to pick out all the beef. I can’t eat meat. This is a huge lack of integrity and cross-contamination issue for those who trust them with allergens. I am always understanding but I’ve been coming here for years and sadly don’t think I will return after this.

Have come here several times now and the sushi & nigiri are always fresh. Destini was great- look forward to coming back!

Fun place. Trivia night. Great atmosphere and awesome service. The sushi rolls were average. Dragon roll was good but too much topping for me. Caterpillar roll was standard, and very good. The soup was good, although the carrots seemed to be from a bag of presliced frozen veggies. Overall pretty good. Nice spot and I'd go again.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly server. Best sushi I ever had. It was called, "Good girls wouldn't", or something like that. Pricey, but delicious. My husband had the chicken and shrimp yakisoba. Looked yummy.

Been here at least 10 times. Couple blocks from home. Always pretty darn good. Buuuut today . . . horrible dining experience. Our go to starter has usually been vegetable tempura. Just a pile of small veggies and grease. Sent it back. Our special sushi dishes were NOT SPECIAL!! Rice was old and gooey.
Our waitress was nice enough, but mostly on her phone. May take a bit, maybe a LONG BIT, to give it a try again.
Just be aware.
