Kid-friendliness: Our 4yo loves it here. Loves the Salmon Sashimi the best. Staff is always so nice and helps get him food quickly, while us adults decide on what to get.

We had a late dinner on Friday night. No wait and very timely service. Food was very tasty and presentation was good. We love Sushi Vibe, the sister restaurant, and now this one is closer and it is equally great.

One of the best sushi experiences in the valley. Primo fish at good prices in a tasteful atmosphere with great service. The dressing on the salad is exceptional, and the $30 omakase nigiri selection was excellent.

A hidden gem. Best sushi spot in town. So fresh and a much better deal than all the other overpriced Japanese restaurants in Scottsdale. The salmon nigiri is delicious!

Exceptional sushi; one of my favorite restaurants in the valley. Don't miss the Amigo, Yasuo, and 2nd Climax rolls! We love the two managers as well - so kind and welcoming.

Met my cousin and her friends here to see her off to Mexico. I sat down with them and they want greeted at all, I had to stop someone to ask to get some water and a drink. We had to ask for things vs being checked on and served. Sashimi was beautiful and delicious if they could get the serving down there was plenty of people working the floor our experience should have been way better.

My husband and I decided to stop in for lunch and try out this place since we were in the area. The inside ambiance looked nice. When we arrived we were seated promptly. There are no shades for the windows and the sun was blaring in, so my husband sat next to me in the booth. I saw another couple come in and asked not to be seated near the window for that same reason. This is always shocking to me at restaurants, since we live in AZ. The waitress served us water promptly! I was hopeful that we would have a good experience with the service, but that quickly changed. She allowed us way too much time to look over the menu and the restaurant was only half full. When she did return, we both ordered the Bento box, which has a nice variety. The waitress brought out the sushi, then the Bento boxes, but both of us were missing the soup. All the other tables received their soup first. So, she clearly forgot about it and did not check back to see how our food was or if we needed anything. We had to flag her down to get her attention and ask about our soup. She said she was getting it. No acknowledgement that she forgot it and no apology for the delay. Instead of getting our soup first though, she stopped and took a few more orders and was filling up some sort of bottles in the back kitchen. I am pretty sure the soup was already made, but we waited about 7 minutes and it eventually came out piping hot. It burned my husband's mouth. As for the salad, the dressing was not your typical Japanese dressing, which was disappointing. It was more like a balsamic. However, the remaining dishes were good, fresh and tasty. The soy sauce bottle on the table was disgusting and was not wiped down. It was all over my hands and table from the last person who used it. Yuck! Also, the smell in the restaurant was odd. At first it smelled good when we came in, but then smelled fishy from whatever they were cooking. Then, I used the restroom and it smelled like sewage. Not appealing at all. Once we finished our meal, I had a lot of leftovers to take home with me. We waited, and waited and waited for our waitress to come back. Our water glasses were empty by the end of the meal. Another server asked if we needed anything. We asked for a box. She never brought the box. She decided to refill waters instead, but skipped by our table. Really? While we were waiting for a box and our check, I watched our server refilling things in the kitchen again. It looked like she was combing wine bottles and pouring them into one bottle. Then, she decided to start bussing tables. I was getting frustrated. We were out of water, we wanted a box for our food, and we wanted our check. It wasn't that busy. They were not paying attention to their customers (or at least us). The table behind us had 2 servers taking good care of them (our waitress and the other one who said she would bring a box), but walked right by us without even stopping. When our waitress finally saw me looking at her from across the room, she motioned if we wanted our check and I nodded yes.She came back with the check a few minutes later. We asked for a box again. She started clearing our table, so it took a few more minutes to get our box. Now, I used to be a server and I was good at it. I would have never done those things to my customers and got big tips for excellent service. I have also done professional restaurant reviews and was paid to critique restaurants and score them on what they did right and wrong. This restaurant was lacking in almost every single area. The only thing they did right was seating us promptly and getting the water right away in the beginning. Despite the service, I was very polite to the server and thanked her for everything she gave us, but she was not friendly or polite back to me. I would have liked to return for the food, but the service turned me off and left a bad taste in my mouth. If you are not picky about restaurant service, sun in your face, strange smells, and like Japanese food, then you will love it. Otherwise, find a place that has good service and food s
