The portions were fine, or waiter was great, but my salad which was $32 worth the steak was almost without lettuce. The steak was tasty and done medium rare as requested, but this is the first time I've paid that for a salad and I believe 40% of it was for the view. The view was wonderful, but we have been here once before. There are many empty sites in the plaza, and I fear the fires have really hurt Sedona traffic. Now is a great time to visit is you despise crowds, so...
Outside dining in July was very comfortable, quiet even with most tables were full and the view of the mountains as the sun went down was like an artist in motion. Stunning. Great location!
This was our first time to dine at the Vault. We've lived in Sedona for nine months and this restaurant had been recommended by several people. The view is wonderful. Our server, Daniel, was attentive and thoughtful. The food was delicious (I ordered the filet mignon and it was just the right temperature--medium rare, on the rare side). The music was on the loud side. What is it with restaurants that they play the music so loud? It would have been better if the music did...
