This little store put me in tears. My mom was born and raised in Germany and hearing the ladies accent brought back so many memories! I also LOVED their goodies, and they have the German meatloaf seasoning packets! I'll definitely be back!

Went to Angelika's on the recommendation of a local patron. We checked the timed of the establishment and arrived there at 355 pm as it was raining quite heavily so it took us a little longer to get there. The place was very clean and tidy and the owner herself came out to see what it was we wanted and we missed the 3:45 cut off time by 10 minutes for the last service in the dining area and were turned away. The stated time is that they are open until 5:00 and in my opinion this is a very shoddy business practice to have two paying customers show up at 3: 55 and be told as much that the place was closed but the door was not locked.Having worked food services myself in the past I do understand the desire to get away after you've put in a full day, but in my day of working in food services if customers came in slightly before closing time, we would tell them that there were a few things available off the menu but not the full menu set. Most people acquiesced to this request and we still managed to get the restaurant closed up when we were supposed to.I traveled a long way and was looking forward to trying this German establishment as I love German food. I would give less than a one star for this experience if I possibly could! If I lived in the area there would never be a repeat experience with that kind of customer service!!!

The menu was very good. A wide variety of authentic German dishes. schnitzel was excellent. they had 4 different recipes. I had potato salad and my wife had fried potatoes. We both had brotchen. This restaurant is worth a try.Parking: Parking is limited but we did not have a problem finding a close spot.

Excellent food. The brauturst tasted just like when I was in Germany. There is also a little store so you can pickup European treats or meats. One of my favorite places to stop for a bite to eat.

We unknowingly arrived 30 minutes before closing but the owner graciously invited us to stay as their last guests of the day.The food was so delicious. We had goulash (my husband who visited Germany multiple times, raved about it), the sliced potatoes (that I can't remember the name of lol), and the schnitzel with the bell pepper gravy. The owner, and even the other patrons, were so friendly. It was a completely enjoyable experience all around. We can't wait to come back!I've noticed that many actual Germans eat at this establishment and I've heard it's the most authentic German food in town. It's definitely less salty/buttery than other German places I've been to recently.

It's been about ten years since my last visit. I finally stopped in again today, around noon. I hit a small rush as Angelika was by herself. I sat against the window facing in. I ordered a Currywurst with a side of red cabbage and cucumber salad. My food came out promptly. Everything was as good as last time except the wurst skin was a little hard, indicating not fresh. It was still edible. The spicy red curry made up for lack of freshness. The broetchen was genuine German. The interior reminds me of a 1970s Gaststube. All that was missing was background music by Udo Juergens. The plastic table covers do not match anything and the carpet needs replacing. The decor needs some updating! And what is up with the plastic shower curtains between tables? Perhaps a COVID-19 relic? All that aside, I enjoyed my visit and listening to elderly people speak German. Hearing one woman ask about chocolate mouse cake convinced me to have a slice as well, and it was good! Angelika has her fans that keep coming back. Eating here throws me back to my years in Berlin.
