“One word. Amazing! First time here.The restaurant filled up to capacity while we were there. Ordered the Mixed Fried Rice with steak, chicken, and grilled shrimp. Son had the Quesabirria and Street Tacos. Alexa was on top of everything. The food was, well, look at the photos. Presentation was beautiful. Taste was even better. We will DEFINITELY be back.”

“My family and I love going to tanuki! The owner is the nicest person ever and always present when we go. She always gives the kids a little treat and makes our whole family feel so welcome. Being Japanese, it's hard to find comfort food for me in SV, so whenever I don't feel like cooking, my husband and I grab tempura soba and it fulfills the craving. The food is made with a lot more "love" than other places in town where you can get Japanese food and is so much more personal. We will continue being regulars.”

“went there the other day to have lunch and was told it would be 10 to 15 minutes. even though there were only about 10 customers in the entire restaraunt, we waited patiently. during the next 20 minutes we watched about half the customers finish their meals and leave. we could hear the staff in the kitchen laughing and socializing loudly. once someone finally did appear from the kitchen, I had to flag someone down to ask to be seated. I was greeted with indignant attitude saying they were still too busy to seat us despite maybe 5 customers eating and vastly empty tables. when I pointed out that they indeed weren't very busy, I was told I could feel free to eat somewhere else. so I did. what terrible customer service and rude staff. if I could give this location negative stars I would”

“We had brunch at Urbano on Sunday, March 22 and were lucky enough to be Monique’s very first table of the day, and you would never have guessed it was only her second day! She was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel genuinely welcomed. She was attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without missing a beat. Also, major compliments to Chef Abdul, the food was outstanding and definitely matched the great service. “We came here for a birthday party and had so much fun! My kids loved swimming in the different pools they offered, especially the small pirate ship slide. There’s a large heated pool, a wave pool, a diving pool, and a kids area. Also a large slide for older kids/people. It wasn’t too crowded so swimming around the pools was enjoyable. There was also plenty of life guards on staff.”

I asked several questions as they were preparing it and no one was rude to me. In fact, they were friendly, accommodating, and willing to listen to me. “This is definitely a family business. The restaurant is spotless! The service is great! But the food needs help. I ordered orange chicken and the chicken was hard and very little orange sauce to dip in. There were no vegetables in the sauce, so I ordered Lo Mein.

Big mistake , I could order a plate of Lo Mein with vegetables ($14.99) or the only side is just noodles. The Lo Mein was cooked only in soy sauce so it was so salty I could not eat it.

Ok, let's try the rice! Plain Jasmine rice that was very dry and hard. You can see it in photos.

Each plate here is made to order. And the inflation is terrible so I fully understand the challenges of owning a restaurant. This family is working hard to keep this going, but the food only allows folks not to come back.

If they raised the prices $2 added small portion vegetables, added white onion and bell pepper to the foods and a little bit more sauce, I know I would come back again and again.

This restaurant attracts only the over 60 crowd and none seem to be regulars. I wish this family good luck but small changes to the foods will bring more customers.”

“Love coming to this store, lately the lines have been long with only 1 worker working and no support from manager. Mr Phil always pleasant, not the fastest guy but always get the same service. Monica is a gem of a employee, always trying to help customers with apps and giving great consistent service. Lucy is a speed demon of a worker, excellent service every time.i might be 2nd in line and she scans ahead and my drink is already there..That's service! Jackie is a pleasant Barista, I seldom see her but when I do she remembers my name and is a good worker as well. Overall I gave this location a 4 star rating, And manager can do better by being a better support system for her employee's, I understand the responsibility of being a manager or supervisor, but when your employees are busy during peak hours she should be there knocking them drinks out. Getting supplies and being a supporter..One.more thing, so many customers have the app to build points,and this is.the only store that struggles with there system or scanner. I should have so many points and shouldn't have to reload a card to get points. PLEASE UPDATE YOU SYSTEM OR I WILL GO TO FRY'S OR TARGET. The tacos are good just could use a bit of that oil left behind. We paid $50 for two burritos with some adds e.g. cheese, 3 tacos and 2 drinks, thinking a bit much for lunch. Service is great staff very friendly and food came fast and hot. Plenty of room to sit with simple accommodations.”
