Great food and Gunny is a good host. he gave us a small sampler so we could decide what we wanted. Would def go here again.

This place was great. The food had so much flavor! I was so happy to find this place while being at FT. Huachuca. The owner was very nice and made us feel welcomed! Recommend 100%

Caught the owners as they were leaving for church. Got a bunch of food for the family, that was DELISH. I loved the rice and chicken mixed together (I did this) and loved loved loved the fried sweet plantains!! Friendly and cozy!!

Just had an amazing lunch at Gunny's! The brisket and pulled pork were out of this world as was the Puerto Rican dishes we tried! (Black Beans and the Rice) The owner was incredibly kind and even gave us some samples to try which helped us decide what to order. You can really tell that they take great pride in the food they serve. Highly recommend a stop here if you're in the Sierra Vista area. Make sure you bring a hearty appetite with you!

Ate at this AMAZING restaurant with a friend who had been here before as it had been recommended by other people well and it did not disappoint! Some of the best food I've ever had in southern Arizona! The meat, rice and beans were seasoned perfectly -- so much flavor! I've never been a big rice and beans person, not my thing, but their's is the best I've ever had!
The owner is also the chef and one of the friendliest, most hospitable people I've ever met! He brought out samples of the meats, rice and beans ahead of us ordering, which is such a rare experience and such a kind and thoughtful thing to do! He was fun and genuine and you could tell that what he does for a living means everything to him. Such a passionate and joyful person. I will definitely be back with more friends who I know will be beyond happy to experience all this place has to offer!

I love the Puerto Rican food here . Ohh my god the black beans and pinto beans with rice are to die for!! The tostones are FIRE WITH THE PUERTO RICAN SECRET SAUCE!!! Yoooooo best in town I swear . Great service the owners are so nice they’re son I believe was in the marines? Or army not completely sure but they have a pic of him . Definitely try it out

The arroz con gandules and the beans were so savory and delicious. The alcapurrias and tostones were excellent. And the brisket was yummy. Highly recommend!

I just wanted to leave these pictures we took in front of the Gunny’s BBQ truck at the Cowboy Festival at the Empire Ranch in Sonoita! The food was great, service was great, and they let us pose with one of the best horses, Gunsmoke (barn name Gunny) owned by Tucson Mountain Stables!! Thank you all for providing great food, our working crew loved it and appreciated your hospitality!

Brisket has a special take, it was really good. Enpanadas were great, mondongo was on point. Berettas are not welcome, IYKYK.

Pricey, plastic serveware, dry overcooked BBQ.
I gave 'em two stars for plenty of parking. Should have had a hint from the empty parking lot.
Parking: Note there's a reason the parking lot is empty!
We all commented to one another that the plastic cutlery and thin napkins and decor seemed cheap. Ok for a food truck but not for a dining room. We also were unaware of the specials since we came in and were led away from the special board, and it wasn't mentioned by the waitress so we were unaware of half of the menu. We met Gunny who seemed very sincere and eager to make this venture work. That's why I'm giving this criticism.

The quality of the food is amazing and so is the taste. Louie and his team prepared a sample platter of Puerto Rican food for a potluck at work (I cheated because I could never cook that well) It was amazing!! It was a hit at the party!!
