The waitress was unfriendly and unhelpful, and ended up dropping us halfway through our meal. She got upset when asked about different sauces, and was hard selling the guacamole and sour cream on the side (without mention the up charge). We were assigned another waitress (Valerie) who was far more helpful and kind. The previous waitress didn’t know if there were any specials and told us that the bar did not have mezcal, which was a lie. Even though the restaurant has been around for 35+ years, they don’t have a drinks menu despite having a full bar. Even though we were a party of five, they brought out the tiniest bowl of chips, and we had specifically request more chips. The margaritas were passable, and mainly tasted of cheap sweet-and-sour mix. Nana’s Mole was subpar, bland in flavor, had a pronounced grainy texture, lacked any depth or spice, or even a hint of chocolate. The price of guacamole was outrageous compared to the quantity. I cannot in good conscious recommend this restaurant, which is sad because it used to be the best place to eat in Sierra Vista 10 years ago.

I've been coming to this restaurant my entire life, feom here but moved away and I always look forward to LA Casita, and maybe they were just having a bad night but.. I ordered carne asada, that steak was like shoe leather! I.mean it was so tough and thin, and dried out I just have.to save anyone thinking or ordering it to STOP. Don't do it! I also really wanted a chicken flauta, they are $5.00 for 1, I was like ok I will pay it but the chicken in the flaunta tasted old, giving it a funny flavor. The best thing I got was the side of shrimp. It was good but other than that it was an epic fail. We also waited like 40 minutes for our food.

Well there is no kid menu, nachos couldn't even eat some type of weird cheese sauce. 3 of us were sick that night and most of the next day.

I love a Mexican restaurant that serves chips and salsa! However, I expect to get a handmade daily, FRESH, restaurant style salsa! Although I don't know for sure WHO makes it here, it tastes like "Pace" to me. But the menu is pretty typical, and I've discovered that ordering "a la carte" works best for me. I hate to waste food! Last time there, I had a HUGE cheese quesadilla and Tostada, and both were very good. But, too much for me! Either one alone would have been plenty! At least the quesadilla could be reheated at home! I did in the frying pan, rather than a microwave, and was glad I did. We love Mexican food! So many other places to try in Sierra Vista! But, we'll be back. Next time, I'll take photos!Edit; I may be confusing 'pico' sauce with Salsa. I think it's the fresh taste of pico sauce that I crave. .... And yes, I have mixed both the hot and mild, it IS better that way. But, so far, everything has been pretty good. And I will ask about the 'secret' menu!Parking: Don't even TRY to park in front. It's for take out and handicapped. Very difficult AND dangerous to maneuver when coming in from the east side, especially! It's very tight, and a super sharp turn even for a compact car! I've parked on the street, but I think there's a lot behind the restaurant.

The atmosphere and the service were great! The Nana’s Mole was underwhelming to say the least.

Too expensive.... I paid $30.00 for my meal and my friend paid $60.00... Margarita ? cost $18.00. Won't be back.

Went in for dinner on a Friday night. It was pretty busy so we had to wait for a table and then for our food, which was to be expected. The service was very friendly. However, the food and drinks fell flat. The mole had very dry chicken and not a lot of flavor in the mole sauce. The fajita tacos were just alright. We might be back in to try some other dishes, but as far as Mexican food goes in town, there are better options!

Our food was very good tasting, the salsa fabulous. 2 issues we had were when the server asked if I wanted the sour cream and guacamole on the side, I wasn't told there would be a $3.75 charge for the Guacamole (I didn't want sour cream), was charged .75 cents to have the Chipotle sauce (that was listed as an ingredient of the meal) on the side and to top it off $5.75 for a bottle of domestic beer. I am familiar with up selling, but you need to acknowledge there is a price increase for items that are normally part of the cost of the meal.
