It has been 10 years since I have seen Sunna, I was living in Brooklyn and moved back to AZ recently.

When I lived here Sunna was a friend to me.

I met her while working at another restaurant and her personality really made my day.
When she opened her own restaurant, our family went when we could.

Money was tight, but it was always a good experience and Sunna would let my young daughter rest on the cot in the office while me and her chatted and joked.

I even worked for her for a short time before I left Sierra Vista.
While I was gone her sweat nature was on my mind a-lot and I was excited to see her again.

I’m sad to learn of her passing and she is dearly missed.

Sunna, you filled a spot in my heart as a person that brought me joy, coziness, and humor.
My daughter and I had a lot of stories about NYC to tell you that I’m sure would have entertained you.

I’m sorry I didn’t stay in touch.

Rest in peace Queen

Tried this place for the first time today, and it was so good!! Tried a little bit of everything and it was amazing. Ms Sunna was also great, she runs the whole place by herself and still was funny and had an amazing attitude! Will definitely be going back before I leave SV.

Outstanding food (including delicious banchan!) and Sunna herself is a treat! This isn’t a quick meal, she’s running a one-woman show - she makes all the food, cleans, takes the orders - so the food take a little longer but it’s well worth the wait and lets you enjoy it even more. Sunna’s Restaurant is one of (if not the) best restaurant in Sierra Vista!

Went there with my son. This woman is a powerhouse, she does EVERYTHING in her Restaurant herself. She is Chef, Waitress, Cleaner, Dishwasher. It's small Restaurant and was very clean. Food was very fresh, came out sizzling hot and in a timely manner. If you want a quick.in and out, this is not the place for you, food is made fresh and as I said she is one person. She SEEMS stern, but she is a very beautiful, very sweet woman, with a warm heart. Give this place and her a shot, I know we will be back- my son and.me had the perfect Mom/Son Lunch Date, Sunna made us feel like we'd been there many times.

Food was great! Service was good. The owner is doing everything so everything feels like there is personal effort and thought in it. You can tell she cares about what she's doing and for each customer!

Sunna's Restaurant is a small, very clean Restaurant. Sunna is a very beautiful lady, that litterally runs the whole Restaurant by herself- she is Boss, Waitress, Cook and Dishwasher all in one. Don't come if you are in a rush, she does it ALL by herself. She is such a sweet woman, that made us feel like we had been going there for years, not like it was our first time there. The portions were generous and everything was very fresh and tasty. We will defenitely be back, my tween son and me had a good time and also a lovely chat with her.

Sunna works alone and is doing very well. Her food is very authentic Korean which is especially nice in a town full of fusion places that water down their menu. It's a hole in the wall, small business that is definitely worth a visit! The only complaint I have would have to be that the water used doesn't taste filtered, just like Sierra Vista tap. Which is something the city needs to work on.

The dtteokbokki is very good, spicy but not unbearable.
The jap-chae was also very good. Flavorful and perfect bite to the noodles. Could use a bit more beef.
Both dishes had an amazing amount of vegetables, perfectly cooked.
Spring rolls were so flavorful and crispy, the filling was hot and fresh veggies. 10/10

Vegetarian options: So many dishes come with just veggies and you can add meat if you desire.

Sunna's Korean Restaurant is a gem, just like its owner, Sunna. Very friendly, playful with the customers, personable. Amazed it is a one-woman operation, as the food is fresh, tasty, and enjoyable.

Just be patient, be aware of the time required to handle multiple customers with one server, and enjoy your meal!

Cook, hostess, waitress, dishwasher all in one, Sunna is awesome. And the banchan is a great plus! Looking forward to my next visit.

Tables were sticky, cups were sticky, floor was sticky. The wait time was pretty long since it’s ran by one person.

Don’t believe the 5 star reviews. The woman who owns the place was extremely rude to me. Would not bring me napkins or my rice when I asked, kept looking at me like I was stupid and wouldn’t give me straight answers on what the dishes on the menu included. Very unpleasant experience and the food wasn’t even that good for the price. My wife noticed a fork was dirty and asked for another eating utensil. I did not get anything I asked for and she took 10 minutes to bring me my rice while I was eating my meal. I had to stop eating and wait. She told my wife “good luck” when I asked her a simple question. Don’t go here take your business elsewhere.
