So very disappointed as I organized a group lunch for eight. Had a taco salad with almost no flavour - other options chosen by other group members also totally uninspired. Service was perfunctory and hurried. Will not return.

The food is really good and most of the staff are great but we went on Wednesday around 11:30 put our name on the list and waited. When we asked Donna how much longer she stated she called us and we were not there ha, we literally were right by the front door nobody called our name and then she lied about it just sad, we then got skipped over two more times when we asked Donna again she pretended to be shocked so we left hungry and very disappointed.

First time at Don Ruben's...by far, not the last! Food was great, service could not have been better, and the ambiance was very welcoming and up to date. I can't believe this is our first time when they have been open since late last year!

The food was delicious. The server was incredibly busy, but was still attentive and got all of our orders correct. The restaurant is nice, longer wait, so plan ahead. When it is full, it can get pretty loud.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. Very large portions for a lunch menu. Food was excellent.
Taco salad with Carnitas delicious. Tacos are good, the usual. The Chile Relleno breading was awful!! Wouldn't order that again. Service was excellent. Ambiance nice. Nice patio.

I don't know what's so big about a cheese Chris you can get a cheese crisps anywhere even make it on your own just Don Ruben ponchos is no good I'll never eat there again they couldn't even make up the order right then and there when I told him the food was a little cold but that's the way some people are they think about money more than a business and food that's my opinion

Forgot to post pictures but my cheese enchilada was on point. My husband has a green chili Mary lou and raved about it. Taco was good too. The staff was efficient, friendly and attentive. Our new go-to for Mexican Food!

I am SO glad Don Ruben's reopened in Surprise. Awesome Mexican food! Today, e started with a chili cheese crisp. The crispiest cheese crisp by far. I had a shrimp chili relleno. My husband had green chili, rice, beans and cheese and onion enchilada. Hit sauce is a must for us, in addition to chips and salsa. Service was great, as always. We highly recommend Don Ruben's.
