This location was excellent in the beginning, but the food and service have really gone downhill. The hot dogs are now mushy, and the customer service has been horrible. It’s disappointing because I know how good this place can be. Management needs to address both the food quality and the customer experience.
I got the big beef with both sweet and hot peppers. It was just mid. I'm from the South so I'm used to flavor which this sandwich was lacking. Maybe a little salt would have helped.
Was really excited to try Portillo's after having enjoyed true Chicago street food. Portillo's did not disappoint! The Chicago style hot dogs were true to form with tons of flavor and that perfect snap that is hard to duplicate. The beefs were also tasty. Fries were perfect! The atmosphere is fun, plenty of room, very easy to navigate. Highly recommended!
