I was rather disappointed with the quality of sushi and its flavor. The location was average Sushi place in your average shopping center development. Nothing stood out. The service was not great but still good. Only had to ask for a water refill once. Overall I was hoping to enjoy some 4 star level food but left disappointed.

Sakura is such a lovely spot! It’s always nice and quiet, which makes it perfect for a relaxing meal. The food is consistently delicious—we’ve never had a bad dish here.
One of our favorite parts is the indoor koi pond—it adds such a peaceful, charming touch to the atmosphere. Whether we’re dining in or picking up takeout, the service is always friendly and efficient.
Highly recommend Sakura if you’re looking for great food in a calm, welcoming setting!

We have been twice for teppanyaki. It is such a fun experience to have them cook all the food in front of you and they are so skilled with all of the tricks they perform. Very good food. All of the staff is very friendly.

I've probably driven by this place hundreds of times and for some reason never stopped in to check it out until this week. I'm regretting that after yesterday's visit for lunch. There was plenty to love here and only a few small things I wouldn't even necessarily call a negative. Let's start with the parking lot. It's pretty unassuming and a little run down. The vibe just doesn't invite you in. It's shared with Sam's Club, Goodwill etc. Walking inside it is so much larger and nice so don’t let the outside fool you. We came for lunch and it was pretty empty. I liked that they have a teppanyaki side and then more family, dining boot tables, etc. which also includes a regular bar and seats at the sushi bar. Service was very friendly and we had our drink orders taken quickly and left with lunch menus to go over. First thing I’ll say it’s pretty pricy for lunch. They have some happy hour specials, but it is more expensive than other locations nearby. I wish they had more pictures or details on the menu of what some things are. I was in the mood for sushi so I went with their sweet and spicy crunch roll while my husband chose the beef yakisoba. This is where it was a bit frustrating for me. My roll came out pretty quick. Like I said it was not busy at all. My husbands food took longer and I sat for quite a bit waiting so we could eat together. It wasn’t an astronomical time or anything between but enough to where it wasn’t frustrating when you’re both hungry. The sushi roll was amazing. We’ll put together and perfect spicy level. Our waitress said it’s one of the most popular rolls. I’m not a huge fan of tempura so I wasn’t sure how I’d like it, but it was wonderful. My husband’s yakisoba looked amazing! He offered nec a few bites and the meat was tender, veggies prepared perfectly and wonderful flavor, he likes spicy so he added some sriracha to his liking since he didn’t have much else to add to it. All in all it was a great lunch. I know I’ll be back. I’d love of try to the teppanyaki.

I stay 20-30 mins away from this location and I always get my food to go and I'm never disappointed. Their food is so good and it's still hot by the time I get home. I definitely recommend.

On the pricier side but honestly, it’s worth it. Food and service has always been great whenever we go there.

Have eaten here several times primarily with no complaints. Last night might have been thee worst dining experience I've ever had. Chef did absolutely nothing but cook the food. Fried rice was bland and undercooked. My medium rare filet was far past well done. Server was average. Not once did she come back and ask if we wanted more drinks. Didn't even bother to come around and ask how everything was. I don't generally say anything if a meal subpar, but this was a train wreck start to finish. Maybe a once off deal, but certainly will not spend $160 for 3 people there again for that!

I tried Sakura in Surprise AZ, for the first time for lunch. We weren't able to get a teppanyaki table because there weren't enough people to use the table. We ordered two different teppanyaki plates from the menu. Service was poor because they were understaffed. Food temperature was not hot and the chicken was dry and overcooked. The check without drinks was $53.00. I don't think I will be returning.
