Tried The Toast in Surprise for the first time and it definitely won’t be our last! We had the Cubano Sandwich and the pomegranate glazed salmon, and both were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the whole experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!!

I'll update my review at some point if I try them again. I called twice during business hours and no one answered.
Great place!! Food was excellent.. Our first time here.. We will be back. Scratch kitchen.. Pasta dishes was excellent!! We did make reservations.
Love it here. Food is great and so are staff.
Be aware. This place is not what it seams. The name Toast is appropriate. They Toast you wallet. This is another restaurant that's par for the course for Surprise. We have been living here for 9 years. With all the new growth with new places to eat, are just not worth it. We always take the time to check the reviews. This one silp my mind. I looked at the menu online and seam to be good. We made reservations yesterday June 18th for 6. We were excited to taste the Fish and Chips and the Clam chowder. What a disappointment. The Chowder was 1 out of 5 being good. The cup portion was the same size of the bowl. The plate for the bowl was just bigger. The fish looked like nuggets. They gave you 3 little pieces. The fries had to be air fried out of a bag. The coslaw was in a little cup. The food really had no flavor. You can compare it to hospital food. No seasoning. We ordered 2 beers. The beers were not cold. 2 warm glasses. No salt, pepper, or sugar on the tables. Had to ask for everything. We ask for Katchup and they served it in little 2oz cups. This a supposedly a up scale restaurant. One thing for sure, they do have up scale prices. $20.00 for Fish and Chips. Another one bites the dust. This place is a Joke. All the with hype with no delivery.

Went with hubby and son and we all tried a different entree. Fried Goat Cheese Balls with the honey drizzle appetizer were done perfectly and enough to share. The signature salad with beets was all very fresh and perfect to share among the three of us. Mediterranean Chicken, Asian Kabobs, and Moroccan Lamb Bolognese were all stellar. We shared Tiramisu dessert and it had slight coffee flavor but not over done so for my husband who is not a coffee drinker did really like it. Subtle, tasty and perfect portion. Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly and attentive. Booth was comfortable, temperature was not too cold or to warm, no drafts or cold spots. It is in a shopping center location and they have a cute outside sitting area for good weather. Inside seating is on the smaller side and the bar area is very nice. When we arrived they had a large party of ladies all finishing up but the space did not feel confined at all. Perfect spot to take family or a date. Cocktails were excellent and we got there for end of happy hour so we also got a discount on cocktails. We are planning to go again soon as this was such a wonderful experience without being to costly. I usually bring home leftovers but it was so good I ate it all. Highly recommend trying The Toast out.

Service and Atmosphere were great. Too bad the food wasn’t as good. The food wasn’t bad but didn’t wow me. We ordered the special of the night which was a chimichurri beef flatbread. I was expecting a steak with chimichurri so guess I didn’t interpret the description. Chimichurri sauce was lacking in flavor and spice. My husband ordered the chicken with beurre blanc sauce and the flavor just wasn’t there. Chicken was moist tho. Then ordered the limoncello tiramisu and basically was cake with alot of whip cream with hardly any lemon flavor. I don’t think we will go back. Service was good but the waitresses weren’t very friendly.

Took a chance on this restaurant, and really enjoyed our lunch. We wanted avoid chain restaurants while visiting for Cactus League baseball. Restaurant was very busy, but they keep a relaxed vibe. All of our food arrived hot, and as described. It was overall a very enjoyable, relaxed lunch, and if I lived nearby, would certainly return. Thanks.

We brought out of town guests, and they really enjoyed it, too. All of our meals were so good, as were the cocktails and desserts.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. We were referred by a good friend who stated this was a great place to have a meal. My wife and I shared the New Yorker. It was absolutely delicious. We had the french fries with it. I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite or a cocktail. We will be back.

We had such a great experience here. The goat cheese balls were amazing and the food overall was really good. The environment was welcoming and comfortable, which made the whole night enjoyable.
What really stood out though was our server, Elyse. She was extremely attentive and right on point the entire time we were there. Even while we could clearly see she was busy cleaning tables and helping other guests, she still made sure we were taken care of and checked on us often.
Our steak did come out overcooked at first, but Elyse handled the situation so kindly and professionally and quickly made sure the problem was fixed. We really appreciated how she took care of it without hesitation.
Great food, great service, and such a friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be
