Friendly service, delicious comfort food with huge portions, and the pies are to die for! Highlights of the meal were the onions rings, chef salad (super fresh and with homemade dressings), and the beef melt with chili peppers. Seating and layout was comfortable also with cute country decorations. The menu front page of the menu describes the history of this family owned restaurant...really neat.

Best hash browns with gravy and I don't usually like hash browns. So yummy will be back for breakfast.

Burger with fries - yummy. Open faced roast beef - alright. We walked in after a hike at the Petrified Forest, so we were hungry. We were greated by the friendly staff and stopped us right by the pies. They all looked yummy! We chatted a bit & then removed ourselves to a booth. Waitress was very nice. Brought a carafe of cold water. A big plus in my book - Trappers has both Coke products and Pepsi products. This girl was happy with their offering of Coke Zero! This place is an old time staple in Taylor. Nothing extra special about the decor or restaurant itself except the friendliness of the staff and hearty, stick to your ribs food. And you better believe we walked away with homemade pie to go.

I really am disappointed in the quality the food lately as to what it used to be the quality of the food has gone down hill considerably I will not be recommending trappers to anyone anymore it would be nice if we had a Cafe that lives up to its reputation in which trappers does not anymore in my opinion

We took our son and his bio-mom to lunch for his birthday. Had a great lunch and a good time visiting. Unlike some places these days you can hear each other while visiting at Trappers!

Absolutely love this place! Great little restaurant with a wide variety of foods & amazing pies! Friendly helpful staff, fast service, clean and relaxing environment. Foods to try: All of them, but specifically: -Country fried steak in brown gravy -Roast beef & gravy (smoked onsite) -French dip -Fries! Fries! Fries! (amazing) All salad dressings are tasty & fresh-made onsite too I don't have a specific pie recommendation, but get there early before the popular seasonal ones, like Pumpkin Cream, run out. If you're too late, get a different pie or two, they are all excellent!

My hubby brought home takeout after his meeting. We had medium rare steak with a baked potato and banana pie for dessert. Yummy!

My son and I came through here and LOVED the beef melt with green chili on rye. Get a side of their house made ranch for added deliciousness. And the pie. Wow. We got a slice of apple and a slice of banana cream, both were amazing. The apple was so good we decided to take a whole one home. Definitely go to Trapper's if you have a chance!

We were going to another restaurant but they were closed. Boy are we glad. Trappers service was great, but those fries were the best I have ever had. No hyperbole here. We'll try their famous pie next time. Great experience.

Really gross food. The ambiance is like eating at a grandmas kitchen, but not the grandma you have fond memories with. This is the great aunt who didn’t take care of her home, has awful lighting and decor, and odd smells everywhere. Even the glass jugs and plastic cups used for water look dirty. It’s 13 dollars for a chicken strip basket, but getting fries costs another few dollars. So it’s literally $13 dollars for 4 little chicken strips that are the same quality as Burger Kings. That gross blended up chicken with white food dye that definitely isn’t an actual cut of chicken breasts that’s stringy. The chicken fried steak dinner was $20. It comes with canned green beans, fries, and the smallest bowl of soup you’ve ever seen. The fries and soup were actually good. The green beans were clearly straight from a can, and the chicken fried steak was sour and unseasoned. Not only was it not good enough to enjoy, but it was actively gross. I could only eat 2 bites of it.My wife could only eat 1 bite of the chicken strips. All in all, we left still hungry, with bad tastes in our mouth (not a metaphor, literal bad sour tastes in our mouths), and $39 less in our wallets (not including the tip which I begrudgingly gave despite the horrendous food because it’s not the servers fault). The server was kind enough, but we only saw her for a total of 60 seconds during our time there. The other girl who rang up our bill clearly didn’t want to be there either, and she hard stared while I wrote down the tip amount which I didn’t care for.I’m not exaggerating when I say this was genuinely the worst restaurant that I’ve ever eaten at. You can have better food at McDonalds (yes, I mean that) that is half the cost.I see that sometimes business owners will try to reach out to reviewers to correct their bad experience, but the only correction here would be a full refund which would never happen. This place needs to close down.

Incredible pies, and sell out quick! Did I mention Incredible! Crust made from scratch, yummm! ( I've done my research) I have done a testing of most ( can't say all because they could create a new) I prefer the fruit pies, but my friends prefer the cream! Yummm!
