We live in Tempe, but had only been to the Casa Grande location several times with friends. Having lived in NM for 20 yrs we found many AZ Mexican places lacking in the flavors we love. Anaya’s is our favorite Mexican in the Phoenix area and the quality seems to be the same in both locations we have tried. One of us had the chile rellano plate, one the shrimp fajitas, and I had the seafood enchiladas. All were excellent. The only thing lacking was the side order of a red/beef...

Everything was great starting with the red salsa which was so tasty I asked for more to put on my dinner. It had a nice spicy kick to it. I ordered the Pollo Fundido which was also excellent. Would definitely come back when I'm in the area.

A most artistic place with each chair decorated. The food is somewhat original and there are some excellent combinations on the menu. Portions are ample, and the staff is friendly. If it's crowded the overall service may be slow since each dish may be complex. This is not typical fast Mexican food. But it's worth it.

They have a delightful Creamy Jalapeno sauce that is not very spicy but has a great flavor. Also, their red enchilada sauce is excellent!
