Horrible portion size. I ordered the bone rib steak and they usually give two or 3 per meal order at most Hawaiian imitation restaurants in mainland U.S.A. but these guys only put one measly piece in the container so after I checked my food before paying I just bounced. The food came out to like $16 ???????

Great tasting food and super polite staff! Unfortunately this location has been closed for about a week now, hope you are able to open again soon!

This restaurant acts as a good change of tastes, comparable to Panda Express. The flavors are all basically different, but the plate compositions are the same. I was on the fence, teetering between 3 and 4 stars, trying to decide what rating to give, before settling at 4 stars. There were a lot of good things about Char'd, and only a couple gripes. To start, the meats were tasty. The beef, short ribs, and kalua pork were all delicious in their own right. In the other container, the Chicken Katsu tasted great; however the shrimp and the orange chicken need improvement. They only gave me 3 shrimp for the "entree" which seems odd, because if you ordered all three entrees as the shrimp, you would only get 9 pieces. For the orange chicken, it was made with dark meat, which makes the pieces chewier. I'm not a fan of the shrimp because of the portion size, and not a fan of the orange chicken because of the consistency. As for the sides, you can't go wrong with steamed cabbage and broccoli; however, both the rice and macaroni salad tasted pretty bad. The macaroni salad was basically just macaroni pasta soaked in mayonnaise, with no flavor. And the rice tasted like straight up Minute Rice. The chicken dumplings and the Manapua were both good, nothing really special though. If you've been looking for a different restaurant for a while, and you're tired of burgers and Panda Express, try out Char'd Asian Grill.

Speaking the Truth

Tasty, no frills and filling for what you pay for. Feels Hawaiian and the food is pretty good and in good portions. I am giving 5 stars because this is a good deal and taste for the price. But if it was two dollars more I would have given 4.5 instead

Staff at register wonderful, the food was not. Korean BBQ ribs were so tough they were inedible. The veggies had no taste to them . The hit on the plate was the macaroni salad.

Only good thing was the spam musabi. everything else was rubbery, and tasted like it was frozen prior to being prepared. Pretty disappointed.

They serve delicious Asian food with huge portion. The cashier is kind and cheerful. The waiting time is short. It's highly recommended!

Food is great! I was looking for an alternative to Onos that was close by. The BBQ chicken and Macaroni salad were pretty good and for the price.

I think the food was definitely worth the price!I've been reading the other reviews, and I have to say, this isn't a high end restaurant you are eating at. Its a very affordable and quick option when you are looking for Hawaiian Barbecue with a mixture of Asian foods. The food is really good, and there's a nice calm vibe in the restaurant.Id recommend you trying the food yourself to see if you like it!I'll definitely will be coming back, 20/10!
