Asked us to pay right after we got our food. We were in the middle of eating. Waitress was staring at me the entire time I was eating. Can definitely say I will not be dining here ever again.

I am a fanatic for Indian food and this was easily the best in the valley. I usually get a Matar Paneer and a Saag Paneer. Which was excellent here. Someone else got the Butter Chicken and it was phenomenal. Seriously the flavors all around were just excellent.

I had such a great experience at Chennai Café! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of authentic South Indian spices was mouthwatering. The staff was super friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

We ordered the mini tiffin and the chicken biryani — both were absolutely delicious. The dosa was crisp and perfectly golden, with just the right amount of ghee, and the sambar was rich and flavorful. The biryani had tender pieces of chicken and was perfectly spiced without being too overpowering.

The ambiance is casual and cozy, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner. You can tell they care about the quality of their food and the customer experience.

Highly recommend this place if you're craving authentic South Indian food. Definitely coming back soon!

Visited on a Friday for the lunch buffet.
The coffee was good, and the sweets were good. It cost $20, but in my opinion, it’s not worth it. There were both veg and non-veg items. The paneer was hard, and there was only one chicken option. The prawns biryani didn’t have prawns. The chicken biryani didn’t taste like authentic Hyderabadi biryani. Also, hand wash is inside the restroom. If someone is inside, the customers have to wait outside even for hand wash.

Chennai Cafe offers a fantastic dining experience with a delicious lunch buffet and a great à la carte selection in the evening. The food is consistently flavorful, making it a highly recommended spot for authentic South Indian cuisine.

Beyond the food, the staff's dedication to customer service truly stood out. Three weeks ago, I accidentally lost a ring at the restaurant, and their team went above and beyond to help. They thoroughly searched the area and even checked the security cameras in an effort to locate it. Although the ring wasn’t found, I deeply appreciate their kindness and commitment to assisting me.

This level of hospitality, combined with excellent food, makes Chennai Cafe a restaurant worth visiting!

This is truly the best restaurant in Phoenix. The food is always so fresh and full of flavor. Every time I eat here, the food comes out hot and perfect, and it leaves me feeling happy and peaceful afterward. I think it’s the special spices and the high quality of the ingredients that make it feel that way. I come here often, and I get excited every single time. The lunch buffet is also incredible – so many tasty options to enjoy!

Good food but service could be better-we had your weekday buffet and consumed only the vegetarian items. All the curries and daal were tasty without excess oil etc. maybe sambar could have more vegetables and the paratha pieces were too tiny but overall really good food. Just wish someone had cared to offer us dosa which we learnt about bit late. Also, please ensure water jug stays filled.

The food was alright!! You could visit. But they took a lot of time to get just a simple basic plain dosa for me whereas my friends who had ordered 3 dishes at the same time with me received theirs and just now I saw something wrong with my bill as well I had ordered a dosa from kids menu and was charged for the normal one :( lol not complaining about the money I paid, but my food was already so delayed even the people on next table who came later got their food first. I had even asked them to cancel that before it finally arrived. 😶‍🌫️
