Delicious, fresh authentic Indian curry dishes. Fresh breads, great spices, genuine flavours.I’m so pleased I came across this place, confession, I arrived for a neighbouring place but LOVE cooking curry at home and love authentic flavours.I was so pleased to be welcomed in and enjoy the community atmosphere, fresh food coming in and out the kitchen, and great service from this hardworking small business and family.I’m staying at the Crowne Plaza just two stops along and this place is seriously convenient. Same short walking distance to the restaurant from the train stop - perfect. If you want legit flavour for good prices then you can do no wrong here. Wish I had the stomach to order more!

The service here is too bad. They dont remember which table ordered what. They gave us veggies early, and then we waited for 30 mins to get roti.

The service was very bad. I think this is not the way to treat customers. The lady staffs were good. But the guy in the reception was very rude. I think he is the owner of the cafe. If there was zero stars, I would have given that for service. And the food was good, but not great. There are many Indian restaurants better than this.

Worst place to eat where they don't know how to handle professionalism. My review is not here just because I had a bad experience yesterday (April 10th), but it was pending for a while for all my previous visits with and without coworkers.First, they have extremely limited food options for their FORCED Afternoon BUFFET which lacks quality. The current staff don't know how to manage people and priorities which is not good for the business (I hope they will get some lessons for the same). The hygiene is what they need the most in the buffet area and restrooms, and I don't know what happens in the background. Now, let's work on what happened yesterday (April 10, 2024):I drove for more than 20-25 minutes just to eat here, and when I entered, the guy was on the phone taking a reservation order from someone. Based on what he told me, 26 people were joining for lunch but in 20 minutes or so. So, the guy told me he didn't have space for one where I was planning to leave in 20-30 minutes anyway for my meetings. He didn't have any intelligence to see that some people who were already there were almost done, and he had all the space he needed, but his presence of mind didn't work. I have been to the busiest Indian and non-Indian restaurants in different countries, and people politely asked me to wait or at least invested their efforts in trying to see if anything would be available. He needs lots of training.Next, I know you will be responding with some made-up excuses, but I don't care. That was my last visit, and none of the folks in my professional and/or personal circle will visit this place.Vegetarian options: Not many options so save your visit.Dietary restrictions: They don't follow any.

Chenni Cafe is a delightful spot that I recently discovered. First and foremost, the coffee at Chenni Cafe is exceptional. The menu offers a great variety of options beyond coffee. I particularly enjoyed their vecchu paratha and chettinad chicken curry also Dosa's was really goodWhat sets Chenni Cafe apart, in my opinion, is their excellent service. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are happy to offer recommendations and ensure that every guest has a pleasant dining experience.Overall, I would highly recommend Chenni Cafe to anyone looking for a cozy spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a good cup of coffee and a bite to eat. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Best and the only Tamil Nadu style food. I’ve tried 10+ Indian restaurants in Phoenix and Scottsdale. This is the best !!!!

Chennai Cafe is possibly the only Indian restaurant in AZ that is on par with the Indian restaurants in London.I visit Chennai Cafe at least once per week in the past 4 months. I can confidently say that the food is super fresh and delicious. The restaurant is super super clean and cozy. The people are welcoming and provide the best services! Both the guy and girl in the reception always say hi and chat with me. Whenever, I am drowned by work or sometimes mean people, I always know I will feel comforted by the good food, amazing service and wonderful people in Chennai Cafe.

My new favorite Indian restaurant in Phoenix by a mile! The dosa are sooo good! But every dish we had was beautiful, and the service was SUPER fast and our waitress was very friendly and approachable. We had the ghee paper masala dosa (so huge! so striking!), the kal dosa with chicken curry, and the thali. All amazing! Pro tip though: they have a special variant of the chicken curry (chettinad) that is extra flavorful. We will be coming back for sure.Vegetarian options: Most of the menu was vegetarianKid-friendliness: There were plenty of kids and babies when we went. Our baby did fine there

The server insisted to buy a curry with aloo paratha. Surprisingly there was no ketchup in this restaurant.
