As a cornishman on his travels, my friends surprised me with a visit to Cornish pasty co. Never heard of it but was in the Phoenix for a few days. As we pulled up to the car park it brought a smile to my face. That is where it ended, it has like a cool trendy place but I just didn't feel it , a lot of really drunk grungey people who were quite wasted to be honest. As my mates went out of their way to give me a taste of God's country I went along with the gesture and they kindly consideration. The menu is vast chose some classic home faves. The oggie was ok steak a bit tough and chewy, the samon was better as I come from 4th generation fishing family from Newlyn. They were top crimped which I associate with Devon. I had quick look online it said the owner is from cornwall. This made me chuckle as it mentioned he was from saltash another from gunnislake . We all know from proper Cornwall these towns are classed as Devon, they love a bridge. It is just a posh fine dining attempt at something humble. It seems to be doing well over here mind. Seems to be going a bit corporate with many restaurants. Think there are less Kfc in the whole of corwall than Cornish pasty co. Not my kind of establishment. Going to try Sonson's pasties seem more ethentic and the comfort it will give me. Fair play but not my thing unfortunately
Went here (Mill Ave location in Tempe) on a colleague’s recommendation and glad we did. The place is small inside, with a large bar and limited tables/booths. There is a small outdoor dining space too. Meal and drink orders are placed at the bar. Our service was good, and our food was great!!! We had the “Hatch Chili Burger Pasty” & the “French Dip Pasty” and both were EXCELLENT. Must try Pasty!!
If you want to be transported to a British pub, the Cornish Pasty Co. will take you there.
We ordered two types and they came cut in half, which was perfect. One whole pasty was very filling, so we didn't need appetizers or dessert. The crust was thin, crispy and a little buttery which was perfection! I find that too often the crust is thick and too bread-y, which takes away from the filling. These were stuffed with the filling of choice.
The quality of the pasty vs. the price point was perfect. Highly recommend if you're looking for a comforting, filling meal in a fun pub-like atmosphere.

Half the product on the menu was NOT available. The food I did get was crap. The fresh baked bread was excellent, however.
Parking: Would NOT go back

Went there with a larger group and we all had a great time. They have a couple large booths that comfortably sit groups of 7. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the food was delicious. The tandoori chicken wings are definitely a good idea. I got the Cubano ‘pastry’ and it was awesome. They were out of the Rueben unfortunately but that just means I’ll have to go back!

Menu had many vegan option except they were out of all but three. Also took some home to bake later.
Dietary restrictions: Many vegan choices. Most vegan options were not available. Could be seasonal issues.

These pastys are soooo good!! We got the Carne Adovada and the Italian. The Italian was very good but a little too greasy and it all fell apart, but again, very tasty! The adovada was amazing!! They were out of a few, so that was disappointing, but we're excited to come back and try them again soon! We ordered to go so didn't have full service, but everyone was nice and the atmosphere seemed cool...dark and sultry ;) will definitely go again next time we're in phx area
