RIP grilled ave. Went there today and it was just rubble. Completely bulldozed down. It had a good run though. Great Mac salad and chicken katsu

I ordered the bulgokee bento with bean sprouts and macaroni salad for sides. It was delicious! What I loved even more was the way they cook their rice and the sauce on it. It's hard to find a good place like this in Tempe!

Love this hidden gem! First dined at this place about six years ago and made a recent visit. The food was still just as good as I remembered!

Takeout from this restaurant only steps from the Residence Inn was just the thing after a long day of meetings. Family run. Teriyaki, noodles, Korean dishes ... all less than $10. Dine in or takeaway. Yummy. Usually, menus rates are between 4 to 8 bucks and it's good price for students. Also, their special sources are really good. I prefer spicy teriyaki. There was still a line at 2pm, and for good reason: Good food, good prices, fast and friendly service. Despite meh potstickers, the bulgogi, rice, etc., were all good.

Chicken teriyaki had good flavor. Kimchi was not the best I've had but okay.

It was ok. I got the lobster roll with Mac salad and seaweed salad. The seaweed salad is ok the portions are small. The Mac salad had corn in it and I just wasn't a fan. Roll was ok. I also got an Avocado boba which tasted really bad. It was watered down and had no actual avocado flavor. The check in free drink is only for the prior owner so don't ask for it.
Quick. Easy. And air-conditioned. What more can we ask of our summertime teriyaki?

I have been going to this place on and off over the years. It is in a walking distance from my office. The food there have been just a bit better than other fast food places. I will considered it average, not outstanding. The biggest problem is that the employees there seldom pay attention to what is your order. In my most recent visit, I ordered spicy bulgogi which is pork, but I got bulgogi which is beef. IThe price is the same. But, I really want spicy bulgogi. It was a takeout order. I didn't find out until I walked back to my office. Also, the portion size is getting smaller and the price is going higher. Oh, don't expect a good amount of vegetable to go with it. I think I will just write this place of for good. I recently visited this place again because there are not many lunch options nearby during the summer. Since my last review, they seem to take notice and have improved their service. If you want Asian food around this area, this is the place to go. The other nearby chain Asian restaurant which I don't want to reveal the name, is awful during the summer as the number of their customers (mainly students) dropped significantly. They don't even try! Anyway, I am upgrading the rating of the Gilled Ave Teriyaki House as they deserve.

I ordered the bento box with teriyaki chicken, seaweed salad, and Kimchi + coconut boba to drink. Food was prepared well. The teriyaki chicken is very mild, wasn't slathered in sauce, very faint teriyaki taste which was fine for my liking. Kimchi is good, not spicy, wish there was a little more bite to it but tasted fresh. Seaweed salad was also good. However, for $15.50 the portions were tiny and pretty plain in flavor. I couldn't see myself coming here multiple times a week paying those prices like many other reviewers state. Overall food tastes fresh and decent, but nothing wowed me or would have me craving it in the future. May try sushi next time instead.
Great place... it was recently torn down...?
The food and service were great.
