First time trying Handel's, and I will say the icecream is tasty and fresh, however I ordered a pint of cookie dough icecream, and it was more like vanilla ice cream with a few cookie dough and chocolate chips sprinkled in. It felt more like a topping than the flavor itself. I am not sure if you can requests more chocolate chips/cookie dough, but from one spoonful, you will not get any chocolate bits or dough, you have to search for them. Willing to give them another shot, but may need to venture to other flavors.
Sage made the experience 10x better, I feel the love she put in this ice cream while scooping.

First time trying this ice cream. As others have noted the selection is great and the portions are huge. Very enjoyable.
Don’t bother coming here for a milkshake. They never have shake mix, I’ve been coming here for every weekend for a month straight at different times of the afternoons/evenings and I’m always told they can’t do milkshakes because they are out of milk. At least they could put a sign saying out of shakes but no you’ll have to wait in line just to be told at the front they can’t make them.

I've been a fan of Handel's Ice Cream when I first tried it in San Diego years ago. This location is located in Tempe and located next to a lot of restaurants. Stand in line and wait patiently. They got really busy. The portions are huge and the service was friendly.
