My friend got her iced drink right away. Mine sat on the counter waiting for ice until they made 5 more drinks that also needed ice. The barista just kept taking orders and making drinks until the ice part(??). It made zero sense. It was good when I finally got it but I wouldn't go back.

Breakfast sandwich and coffee were good. The avocado toast not so much. Avocados were too ripe
Staff was nice and polite. My problem was with waiting time and accuracy of orders. Not sure if they are short staff, but there were only 2 girls working and a 3rd one came when it was really busy. I ordered a brown butter toffee coffee , avocado toast in jalapeño bagel and breakfast sandwich.
Waited 40 minutes for the breakfast sandwich. I keep seeing that people's orders after us were ready and had to ask for my order. The avocado bagel order was wrong and cold by the time they gave us the other sandwich, but I took it because I had timed tickets for an event 1 hour away and I was going to be late. They don't seem organized. Ppl keep getting only half of their order and having to wait for the rest, while the ppl after them would also get only part of their order. I feel bad for the girls, they seem very stressed and I know they were doing their best. Owner should hire more staff.

Coffee place right next to the ASU, it's a block away from Westin Tempe.
It's a small coffee shop, mostly frequented by college students.
Coffee is decent enough, beans taste different, good flavor.
Vegetarian options: Yes

Happy Joe Coffee is my favorite coffee shop in Tempe. They have delicious lattes, and they are very reasonably priced. Their seasonal menu always offers exciting and delicious flavors! Also, the staff is great and there are just good vibes. A Happy Joe coffee makes me a happy human; I would highly recommend.

Five stars all around! I asked for whichever banana bread they recommend, it wasn’t too sweet and had a great texture, the cold brew was good black which is rare, and the prices were super reasonable!
Vegetarian options: Only non vegetarian options where the sandwiches which I’m sure you can request without meat
Parking: Lots of spots outside the restraint with additional parallel parking on the street.

coffee was decent, but the bagel sandwich was truly awful. genuinely the worst i've ever had from a coffee shop, to put in perspective, worse than what i'd expect from a gas station. to top it off, our barista was also pretty rude. not as big a deal when its just coffee and not a sit down place, but it felt like icing on the cake. would avoid in the future.

Pretty good stuff.
Knocked it down because they don't open till late.
Coffee is good. Service is poor. Ordered a strawberry waffle, and my order was forgotten. After waiting 25 minutes, finishing my coffee, seeing other people get their orders in front of me, I asked about it. No apologies were given.

Way overpriced for the quality...it was trying to be a new-age fancy, upscale cafe but didn’t have the taste to back it up. Got a latte that was 99% milk. Couldn’t even taste the espresso.
