This is my favorite Indian food place. They do a lunch buffet all week, the food is high quality and they have a large selection of food available for it. The staff is quick and attentive. The garlic naan is delicious. Nice music playing at a quiet volume in the background.

I ordered pickup through Uber Eats and it was a pleasant experience. The food was ready quick and tasted delicious. I would recommend ordering the samosa if you’re a fan of potato’s.

We've found our new spot! We have an annual tradition to go out for Indian food on Christmas day & of course, many other times during the year.

Superb, true authenticity. I drive 100 miles to eat here every three weeks or so. Consistent. I traveled the world so I know good food. This is.

ndia’s Flame in Tempe, Arizona, has quickly become my absolute favorite Indian restaurant in the Valley—and honestly, one of the best I’ve experienced anywhere.
From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm and inviting. The decor strikes a perfect balance: elegant without being stuffy, with soft lighting, tasteful Indian artwork, and comfortable booths that make you want to linger. The staff greets you like family—genuinely hospitable, attentive without hovering, and always happy to guide you through the menu or adjust spice levels to your preference.
Their lunch buffet is a standout. It’s consistently fresh, beautifully presented, and offers an impressive variety: perfectly creamy butter chicken that’s rich but not overly heavy, deeply flavorful paneer tikka masala, tender lamb vindaloo with just the right kick, saag paneer that actually tastes like vibrant spinach rather than a green paste, and tandoori items straight from the oven—moist, smoky, and charred in all the best ways. The naan is fluffy and blistered, garlic version especially addictive, and they keep the baskets coming without making you feel rushed. Even the chutneys and raita are top-tier—tangy, balanced, never watery.
For dinner à la carte, the quality jumps even higher. The chicken tikka masala here is silky, smoky, and perfectly spiced; the biryanis are fragrant and layered (the vegetable one is surprisingly complex and satisfying). Vegetable dishes shine too—aloo gobi with just enough bite, dal makhani slow-cooked to velvety perfection. They clearly use quality ingredients and don’t cut corners on the slow-simmered gravies that make northern Indian food so comforting.
Portion sizes are generous, prices are very reasonable for the quality (especially compared to other upscale spots), and the cleanliness is impeccable—always bright, spotless, and well-maintained.
Whether you’re a spice enthusiast craving authentic heat or introducing someone new to Indian cuisine, India’s Flame delivers every time. Owned by folks with decades in the business, it shows: this isn’t generic mall Indian food; it’s soulful, consistent, and made with real passion.
5 stars without hesitation. Hands down my go-to, and I’ve already lost count of how many times I’ve been back. If you’re anywhere near Tempe, do yourself a favor and go. You’ll thank me later.

Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch buffet! My first time here & the AYCE lunch buffet is well-stocked with quite a variety of choices for a small restaurant. The server, who I believe may be an owner, seated our large group immediately, and explained that the lunch buffet comes with chai tea self-served at the buffet and naan bread that he brought to the table separately. We were given a choice of garlic or butter naan bread. The naan was slightly crispy with a chewy middle that was cooked just right, and was plentiful. The buffet had what was described as 3 meat & 3 vegetarian dishes, all delicious & mild enough to eat for all palates. Many flavorful sauces. I particularly liked the lentils dish. There was also fruit & desserts. The buffet itself was clean & sparkling, and each item was well-stocked. Overall, food was great, service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Worth coming back again & again!

My husband loves Indian food; I often have trouble with the heat/spiciness. I was delighted to discover India's Flame, where the servers gave us good, clear advice on which dishes were intrinsically spicier, and which dishes worked well together. We both enjoyed our choices: chicken tikka masala for him, chicken biryani for me, naan for both. As it was our first visit we both ordered them mild; that was fine for me but my husband will try medium next time. Portions were generous: about half the biryani came home. I'd like to try their lunch buffet, to explore more options than two people can reasonably sample at one sitting. We also saw several people come in for take-out.
