Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been. Fresh, delicious, good portions. Our server was great! Totally recommend it.

Our waiter only checked on us once. Our drinks were out and we needed something. Took time to get him to us. Was not that busy.

Sashimi was better than the rolls. The rolls had stale hard rice and the fish didn’t seem to taste as great as sashimi pieces. Sushi wise I probably would not come back but service was good. They do understand gluten allergies so that’s nice.

Pork Cutlet is incredible.
I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki through Doordash.
And I was really looking forward to it. When it arrived and I opened the package the teriyaki sauce was missing. So, I called the store and spoke with the manager. Unfortunately I forgot her name. I was told that there was nothing she could do. I know for a fact that there is plenty she could have done. She just didn't want to because I ordered from doordash. What people don't seem to realize is that people who order through doordash are customers just the same as if we walked in the restaurant. I unfortunately can't walk anywhere and get my food right now because I have a broken foot. So, in my humble opinion, Kabuki blows. I will never order from here again.

Went with my wife on Jan 18 2026. I had the sunrise toll, the shrimp tempura, two sets of salmon nigiri and a vanilla tempura ice cream. My wife had a pair of salmon noigiri, edamame, and fried rice with chicken. Everything tasted delicious and the lady who served us was very amiable and helpful with her recommendations.

Kabuki in Tempe is always a solid choice. The service really stands out — our server Ashlyn was incredible. She was friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without ever feeling rushed. The food came out fast and tasted great. The shrimp tempura was crisp and light without being greasy, and the beef yakisoba had awesome flavor with tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles. Overall, excellent experience with great food and truly exceptional service from Ashlyn. Definitely worth coming back.

Absolute worst sushi I've ever had in my life. 2 of us ordered sushi, 1 ordered ramen, and 1 ordered hibachi. The hibachi was decent, the ramen was so bland I couldn't believe they tried to pass it off as tonkatsu. Not regular bland, but bland like it's 2021 and you suddenly can't taste anything because you have COVID bland. They could've just picked up sushi from a grocery store and it would've been 100 times better than what they served us
