LOVED this place!! Fish was fresh & rolls were fantastic! My favorite was the chili hamachi roll. Happy hour $5 mules on a Monday, they had many different flavors to choose from which was cool! Waitress was super nice & the place was clean. I can’t wait to come back & try more rolls!

Great food, best sushi I've had in Tempe yet with slightly higher prices to match quality, just remember what you ordered!

The food here used to be so delicious. I don't know what happened recently because the menu seemed different. Maybe they changed the chefs. The dishes taste and quality wasn't what I was used to the previous times I had been here. The service is great like always, but the food was not so good. What a shame, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants.

Really cute spot with fun decor and vibes ~ Stopped here for sushi and the omakase lunch deal a great value. A filling amount of food for a good price. They let you pick the roll that comes with it from the basic roll selection (California type rolls). We also ordered the dragon roll and it was very good! The yakitori was on the drier side (I ordered the chicken breast with a teriyaki type glaze/seasoning) but the flavor was decent. The strawberry lemonade was also some of the best I've had!Parking: Parking lot available for those going to the restaurants in the complex. Slightly confusing where the restaurant is from the parking lot but walk out to the sidewalk and turn right. (It's not on the corner of the street.)

I had the tsukemen. It was terrible. The chashu was not soft at all, I have had pork loin that was more tender. The soup was also much too thin for tsukemen, and the noodles were noticeably overcooked. The ramen egg was cold and outside was leathery. However, the service was timely, attentive, and cheerful. The place was well packed, which I doubt would be the case if the rest of the menu were similar fare.

Phenomenal sushi (nigiri) - the kind that melts in your mouth. The sake (salmon), maguro (tuna) and even the gyoza were all exceptional and I'm a hard person to please. Visiting from Portland, OR, this is now my go-to place after trying countless sushi train places in Tempe and Chandler.Edit: dropping down to 4 stars as they've added a 10% service charge for carryout. Nothing was stated on their website. It would have been nice to know. Otherwise, still great-tasting sushi.

You know that almost involuntary eye closure and little moan you let out when you put something amazing in your mouth? That happens to me with each piece of sashimi at Kuka. I make a point to visit every time I'm in the area.

They used to be a 5/5 but the hosts make it a 3/5Food is greatSushi is amazing if the Japanese chefs are there. Sometimes the yakitori is meh. Free parking is greatTables are kinda small.Good deals on weekdays and Sundays Some servers are amazing!!!!!!The hosts:They only seat Caucasian people in the booths and they're so busy talking they don't realize takeout is ready. One time we waited 20 minutes with the food right in front of us.

I did not expect that the best tonkotsu broth I've had in a while would be in Arizona...My fam and I arrived around 6 for dinner. Admittedly, I disliked the service we received here. The front staff were very curt when taking our contact info for their online waitlist, and our server was very hard to catch. I ended up having to get out of my seat just to ask for our check.Aside from the service, the food here was actually quite good. The restaurant itself is not fully Japanese, as the menu also has Korean options like short ribs and army stew. However, everything we ordered - the short ribs, the seafood hot pot, and scallop dynamite - was so delicious. I would hesitate to dine in again if I ever visited AZ a second time. Perhaps takeout would be nicer?
