Kyoto Bowl Reviews
The most amazing teriyaki chicken, ever! My family has been eating here for 20+ years. I've never had teriyaki chicken anywhere else that closely compares. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
First of all, maybe they should get people who actually know about Japanese food to work the register. I asked if the sukiyaki chicken was sweet (because actual sukiyaki can be kinda sweet depending on who is making it), and the girl looked at me like I'd asked if there was chicken in the chicken bowl. That's on top of an already awkward ordering experience. We had to repeat ourselves to her several times, and she constantly repeated it back in a "are you sure" tone of voice....read full review

The Kyoto Bowl is a cozy restaurant that offers a variety of vegetarian options, including the popular sukiyaki beef and miso soup. It is well known for its quiet atmosphere and small number of customers. The meals are reasonably priced, around $15, with generous portions of rice. Some customers have expressed concerns that the rice takes up too much space in the bowls, leaving less room for vegetables and meat. However, the staff is widely recognized for their friendly demeanor and excellent customer service.
Recent reviews highlight the restaurant's improvements in food quality and service. One customer described the Orange Chicken as absolutely phenomenal, with perfectly crispy chicken coated in a rich, tangy orange glaze that balanced sweet and savory flavors. The dish’s portion was generous, and the rice was fluffy and fresh, making the meal very enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was fast and attentive. Another reviewer mentioned that despite some criticisms about pricing and the atmosphere, they have been supporting this location for over nine years and appreciate the consistency and friendly staff, especially Christina at the register. Overall, Kyoto Bowl remains a popular place, with many customers considering it a great option for Japanese fast-food in the area.
