Loving Hut - University Dr - Tempe, AZ

I had asked for something that's healthy and tast. The staff suggested Asian Delight. I would say it was one of the best dishes I had in a very long time.

This Loving Hut, like many others, offers a menu attempting to bridge western and Asian palates, from burgers to stir fries, etc. This particular incarnation skews toward the fast-food paradigm, with counter service, plastic packaging, and a focus on comfort foods. By that standard, it does pretty well, balancing the fried stuff with a number of healthier options like fresh spring rolls, sushi, salads, and brown rice. The three items we tried were all fine. Considering Loving Hut’s marketing around compassion, we were disappointed to see that this location uses plastic packaging for take-out. These days there are so many natural/reusable packaging options that are better for the planet, so we hope they’ll improve that in the future. Consider bringing your own reusable take-out containers to lighten the load on the earth. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-29

My first time at this particular Loving Hut. Seating area is not large, with about three or four outside tables, and the same amount indoors. Very pleasant though! They have a huge menu, with large portions and very good value. But it's really about the truly excellent flavors! I ate every bit of my order, even though I wasn't that hungry. Delicious! There is no lack of vegan food options in this part of town, but it's always great to see a fully vegan restaurant and this one is top notch.

Loving Hut is a chain that I am always happy to see on my travels, I first discovered them in Europe! I got loaded fries because it was new, they resemble poutine and it was delicious. Sushi is good too although I wish it was cut into smaller pieces. I got the green panda cake that was featured, I didnt get a strong matcha flavor (might not even be matcha to be fair) but I definitely knew it was coconut frosting! Yum! #Veganuary

I was genuinely excited to try a couple of the top items on the menu, but I was a bit disappointed to find out they were unavailable. I decided to go with the chicken and waffles instead. While each component—the sauce, chicken, and waffles—was delicious on its own, I found that they didn’t quite come together in a way that suited my palate. However, I must say those were probably the best vegan waffles I’ve ever tasted! It’s always a letdown when a dish doesn’t meet our expectations, but I truly appreciate the effort put into creating something new. The California burrito was tasty, although it didn’t quite capture the essence of California for me! The sushi was solid and definitely a reliable choice. Overall, it was a mixed experience, but I’m grateful for the opportunity to explore new flavors.

This is our favorite restaurant, the food is always delicious you can tell it's actually made to order from fresh ingredients. I always get the Save the Planet Curry and it's fabulous but friends have gotten the old-school and chickles burger and they are always good as well! The people are super friendly. Food is always done super fast regardless of dine in or take out.

Very small but super cute and unique all vegan restaurant! The vegan beef is super good. We got the fresh rolls, golden vermicelli bowl and Beefless Grateful Burger with Fries! This was our first time here and we will definitely be returning!

The girl at the counter (black curlyish hair and bangs) was SO nice and made it so easy for me to get exactly what I wanted and the food was perfect. I ended up getting the Saigon rolls and it was made so quickly, so fresh and so easy to get for someone randomly walking by. Behind the counter were older Asian people making Asian food! Just a random plus.

Great Loving Hut! Amazing menu and lovely, friendly staff. The food was amazing and so tasty. It was served really quickly and the portions are huge! It’s only a small restaurant but it’s lovely and quaint. Vegans will be happy if they come here. Highly recommend. The menu is great.
