I got a Chicago dog, and my boyfriend got the chili dogs. There was so much celery salt on my hot dog that I had to wipe it off with a napkin. I tried a bite of the chili dog, and it tasted like canned hot dog sauce you can buy at the grocery store. Somewhat disappointing...just being honest. The menu is very limited, but the staff was friendly, and the dog itself was tasty, all things considered. The fries were really good.

Great hot dog spot. We stopped by, and the food did not disappoint. The owner was so friendly and came outside to speak with us several times. I'm a Midwesterner, and it was nice to have a little touch of home.

If you love Chicago style hot dogs this is the place to go. The owner is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean and decked out with Chicago memorabilia! The food was amazing and I hope that this local mom and pop restaurant stays open for a long time because they have a loyal customer out of me. Being from Chicago I'm sick of all these chain restaurants and can really appreciate this owner opening up a taste of home right here in Arizona.

Hot dogs are good and chicago style authentic,however, they are a bit overcooked. The skin of the hot dog is a bit tough. Fries are decent, I really like the celery salt on them.

From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Kind service, good food (got their version of the Chicago dog and some chili cheese fries). The fries were deep fried fresh for us. When we left the man (I’m pretty sure he was the owner) ran out and gave us a couple paper hats to commemorate our good time there. Can’t wait to go again.

After accidentally discovering this Chicago Hot Dog restaurant by mistake when looking for a great place to eat my son and I said “Let’s try it” And I’m so glad we did. This hot dog joint has the most friendly staff and the most delicious fresh Chicago Dogs I’ve ever eaten! Highly recommended everyone!

My mom and I have been trying hot dog places throughout the city. Messana's is definitely one we will be returning to! First off, their Chicago dogs are heavenly and their fries are absolute perfection. Would recommend any hot dog lover to stop in and try Messana's!

Every time I come to YC's, I am reminded that there is a little Chicago dog place right next door and I keep telling myself I'm going to come back. Today I finally did and now I'm even more angry that it's taken me this long. Had the Chicago dog (of course) and it was delicious. The poppy seed bun was super fresh and the hotdog snapped as soon as I bite into it. The fries taste like they literally cut the potato this morning. The staff was super friendly and they even bring your food to you. Amazingly unassuming little gem in Tempe. 10/10 I'll be back.
