Felt the chicken is lacking flavour. Too much oily. Beer battered onion rings were good.
Vegetarian options: Eat fries!!

Wonderful service! Tyler the manager went above and beyond. He is the epitome of good customer service which is hard to find these days. Food was great and the vibes were immaculate. I already know my friend will be coming back.

Chicken Sandwhich = 6/10, it should be much more flavorful. I did enjoy their fries, maybe a 7.5-8/10.

Monroe's was good. It wasn't great, and it wasn't bad.
There are a lot of chicken spots in the valley and this one is by far the most expensive for what you get. It's not bad by any means, but $13 for a sandwich with no fries/sides/drink or anything (not even sauce!) is a bit steep.
$4 for a side of fries that also doesn't come with sauce... it's just a lot. If you want a drink, fries and a sandwich with a side of sauce, you're looking at $24.
The spice blend at "Hot" was barely noticable as well. It had some heat but was not spicy by any means. If you do go, and you can handle spicy food, get something on the upper range of their spice levels.
This was my first and only time here, the other spots in the valley are either higher quality, are cheaper, or both (looking at you Dave's Hot Chicken!).

The spice on their chicken is some of the most flavorful spice I’ve had. I love their fries and sodas. The loud music is my thing so I try to just do takeout.

Pricing here is outrageous and service was lacking. I ordered the “sloppy fries”. It consisted of dry fries and dry chicken in a cardboard box with 3 containers of sauces on the side. For $20! I was eating in- so I’m not sure why everything was on the side? In Texas- sloppy fries are a bed of fries, saucy tenders, vinegar slaw, some pickles and a sauce. I asked them for slaw and they charged me $4! So $25! So beware.. their sloppy fries are 3 sauces and a dry basket of food. So disappointing and overpriced.

The chicken sandwich itself is good but definitely overpriced. They charge $1 per small ranch which you can tell is store bought Hidden Valley ranch. The menu is also deceiving. They advertise the $15 chicken sandwich as a “plate”, typically plates should come with fries and a drink. Nope, it’s $15 just for the sandwich no side or drink. Overpriced and mediocre.
The food was good. Definitely a place you have to go more than once to see what you like. I’m really not a fan of cream sodas so that was a negative for me but it was still good. Also, the only thing I kind of didn’t like was I ordered some popcorn chicken for my four-year-old and they asked if you want spicy or mild. Even the mild was pretty spicy so that was kind of a waste of money and I also ordered pickles on my sandwich Which I didn’t get but other than that the staff is very friendly and the food is pretty good. Chicken is fresh. Fries were slightly over seasoned and spicy but they were still good. It’s also kind of pricey.
Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten-free menu, which is a plus because lots of places do not offer this.
Parking: Parking is difficult to find in front. It’s only 15 minute parking in the front which is the street but there is a parking garage north of the building which is about a five minute walk not too bad.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not too sure if a big wheelchair would fit through the front gate that they have going into the business.

Monroes....your cornbread Mac and cheese and greens are delicious, however, Tempe does not have the recipe for the cornbread Mac and cheese. I drove all the way from Gilbert and I'm going to eat it because I'm hungry but I'm soooo disappointed. Can you please share the recipe from downtown Phoenix please? I will only visit Phx location in the future

Food great! Atmosphere pretty nice! Very clean. BUT insta 1 star for charging a dollar for the tiniest cup of ranch or 2 dollars for pickles is criminal. Stop nickel and diming your customers.
