Premium Matcha Cafe Maiko

I’ve been here more than 80times. I stopped going here, for ONE reason.
You guys put WAY TOO MUCH ice.
I get it. More ice=less drink= saves money.
But some people drink slowly, and ice melting ruins the drink.
Whenever I ask for less ice, they say “is it okay if the cup will be less filled?”
Are you serious? Am I paying for the drink or the ice? Shouldn’t it be matcha latte & ice on the menu?
I don’t care how much grams you guys set for the drink, if you have displayed a certain size of the cup, a customer deserves to get a full sized drink no matter what. Otherwise it’s a scam. Or you should display the amount of drink that each cup fills up to. Right?
Because I’m ordering the drink, I hate ice so I request for less, that reduces my drink?
Why? That few more sips costs THAT much?
Come on, it’s not the whole stanley bottle I’m asking you guys to fill.

This is the best matcha in Phoenix! My favorite matcha place, everything is so delicious and it never disappoints me, definitely good quality matcha, wish they have other location in north phoenix.

The matcha ice cream may be great but ube is where it's at. They can also whip up desserts to get as complicated as you like with options such as sweet red bean, rice cakes and more.

The girl at the register was very nice and informative! But as for the matcha itself, there are way better places out there. For one, it was very expensive. $8 for a small strawberry “premium” matcha. The “premium” matcha was pre-sweetened, grainy, and was poured out of a pitcher from the fridge (I watched them make it). Because of this, it’s likely I wouldn’t return or recommend.

They have the best matcha! I love coming here. The only reason I took a star off is because I wanted to try one of their floats and it was mostly ice in a cup. I took about 5 sips and 2 bites of ice cream and it was all gone. I would recommend getting the ice cream by itself or drinks by themselves. I love both the drinks and ice cream. Portions are small, but the overall taste makes it worth the visit for me!

So delicious! We had a trio cup of matcha, hojicha, and taro soft serve. A large portion which lasted us for days in the freezer. Authentic and good quality!

We got the strawberry matcha float latte with ube and matcha/toasted green tea ice cream…WOW! So delicious and creamy. Highly recommend for a sweet treat

Favorite matcha spot! As an avid matcha lover, you can tell that they use ceremonial grade matcha. The quality of the matcha that they use is top notch. I usually like to get the matcha maiko special, or the matcha latte. If you like matcha, definitely give this place a try. You won’t regret it!!

Our favorite place for authentic matcha in Town! I’ve known Maiko Matcha back in Vegas but to my surprise, the quality here is even better, especially the Maiko special. Nice and clean store, highly recommended to try out if you’re fan of matcha!

I actually found this store from the website “Taste of Japan”. It’s an event where all authentic Japanese stalls come together. Cafe Maiko was on their list of recommendations. So my family and I had to try!

To our surprise, the flavors here are spot on! Especially the Matcha float and Hojicha ice cream. The matcha and hojicha flavors are strong! And incredibly delicious! Also the service was fast and efficient, not to mention the employees are informative. I’d say the level of Matcha served here is around 3-4, I wish they had the highest level 5 matcha with a more vibrant color and taste. However, this is by far the best Matcha cafe I’ve ever gone to!

Looking forward to going here again when I’m in the area! 👍🎉
