The server and the main chef are amazing. Me and my fiance have been coming here routinely for a couple years and have never had a bad experience. We've tried multiple ramen shops in az and Japan but none compare to ramen dozo!

Hidden Gem in Tempe – Ramen Dozu
Chen at Ramen Dozu was incredibly nice and welcoming from the moment we walked in. You can really tell they care about their guests—Chen checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect.
The food? Not only is it affordable, but the portions are huge—you definitely get your money’s worth. And despite the low prices, the quality of the food is top-tier. Every bite tasted fresh and full of flavor.
This spot has been around for 9 years, and it’s clear why. It’s a true hidden gem in Tempe. Do not sleep on this place if you’re craving quality ramen and great service.

I so appreciate when a restaurant has vegan options for me and non-vegan choices for my husband. I had the veggie gyoza—which had a wonderfully delicate crunch—and the veggie tempura udon. Delicious and perhaps the best tempura I’ve ever had and the udon had great texture. My husband tried the sake (served cold) which he enjoyed. He also had the shrimp shumai and katsu don. He loved it all. Would definitely recommend.

Ramen Dozo Tempe is a gem! The spicy miso ramen with pork is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The broth has a delicious kick, and the pork melts in your mouth. Highly recommend!

Best vegetarian ramen ever!! I’ve tried soooo many ramen locations throughout AZ and different states, but nothing can beat this. I’ve been going here for years. Alan and his wife always welcome us with big smiles. Whenever I have family visit, I take them to eat here and they absolutely love it.

I recently visited and was genuinely impressed by their spicy tonkotsu ramen. The broth was delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings (especially the soft-boiled egg) were a great touch. It’s definitely a standout dish for anyone who loves a flavorful ramen.
What also stood out was the service. The staff was quick, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was in and out in no time, which is always a plus when you're craving something tasty and don't want to wait around.
That said, the atmosphere of the restaurant could definitely use an update. The interior felt a bit outdated, with worn furniture and a space that could benefit from a more modern refresh. While the food and service were great, the ambiance didn’t quite match the quality of the ramen.
All in all, if you’re looking for amazing ramen and great service, this place is definitely worth a visit. I just hope they’ll give the decor a bit of a facelift to match the fantastic food they’re serving.
I wish this place was closer so I could go more frequently.

Spectacular experience all around. I love when a space is low key from the outside and a 5-star experience from the moment you walk in.When my friends and I went in for lunch, we ordered ramen with spic miso and shoyu broths which were excellent. The ramen noodles had the perfect bounce & bite, and the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. We also ordered the Hot Rock appetizer, which I could have eaten 20 more of. I also really enjoyed the edamame, which was perfectly spicy. Everything was ordered was seasoned and cooked excellently. The vegetable croquette surprised me- it tasted good but is not what it sounds like on the menu lol. Cannot wait to return here next time I'm in Phoenix.

Chill atmosphere.... But you didn't come here for the view. The hubs says the ramen is some of the best he has had. I tasted the tonkotsu broth and it was delicious! He said the pork was super tasty as well. My teriyaki salmon bento was awesome too! Decent sized filet cooked perfectly with all of the additional fixings. Very pleasant. Server was kind and accommodating. We'll be back for sure! 🤤
