Being completely honest I came across this coffee shop because every Sunday we have coffee dates. This is definitely on my top 5 of coffee shops. The prices on the coffee just great! I love the variety and phenomenal service I received from these ladies. The owner or manager is such a kind, sweet and humbled person. She was so delightful. I can’t thank her enough for the first experience. I was trying to figure out what coffee to order and based on our likes she gave us suggestions and let me tell you. We loved it. Personally we prefer our coffee stronger than sugary but they work based on how you’d like it customized. As for their pastries and croissants we couldn’t get over how incredibly delicious they were. I wish I would have taken more pictures but we ordered a Ham and Swiss croissant and a raspberry croissant. When I say the food melted so soothly in my mouth I couldn’t describe it any better. I can’t get over everything from food, coffee, service I don’t know what more you can ask.
It looks like you’re gps is not right, taking you into office buildings but behold….one of the absolute best coffee shops I’ve ever been in. I told my husband today, no Starbucks, the coffee shop has to be charming. By golly it was. Everything was top of the line. The owner or manager made the best impression with his kindness and warmness upon entry. The lovely lady behind the register was super accommodating and friendly. Our food and drink items were all five star quality. Thank you, “Romancing the Bean” for a most charming experience.
Parking: Plenty of spots. There are coin meters.
Wheelchair accessibility: Seems it would work. Flat.
Family owned. Close to AC hotel where I enjoy staying. They serve breakfast and lunch, excellent pastries
I arrived 10-15 min before 9am (before the morning crowd). It’s a small space in a business building. I ordered an English muffin sandwich with bacon- delicious; peanut butter cookies- not gooey like on social media lol; blueberry muffin- soooooo good just the right amount of blueberries; cinnamon roll twist- very very fresh, soft and delicious A MUST GET( seriously)!!!!For my drink I got a med caramello, it was very sweet for my liking but tasty. I usually prefer a mildly sweet expression if I’m having sweet pastries. But if you enjoy sweet beverages, this one is for you
We appreciated the friendly service and the food. We liked breakfast so much, we came back for lunch. Note: not open on weekends
They have the BEST PEANUT BUTTER COOKIE I have ever tasted!!!!! They sell lunch items such as sandwiches, but I didn't try any. They have a relaxing ambience and outdoor patio. It's super nice. Highly recommend.
6 stars. Fantastic coffee, delicious food. They live up to the quote on the wall 'Enter as strangers. Leave as friends.' my only disappointment is I didnt find them earlier in my stay!
Great place! Extra friendly staff, delicious food, excellent coffee, and great atmosphere. Also, they have a good biscuit & gravy; I’m from the south so when I say it’s good you know it’s true.
I tried the green chili and pulled pork soup and it was the Bomb!!! ? Super good also the Italian warm sub, the bread was unbelievable, I have an Italian family and I have learned about bread it was amazing!!
Hidden ? and they make their own raspberry jam and their sticky buns are on point

I’ve been all over the world - best cafe I’ve ever been to. The service is nothing short of perfection, and the food is tasty. The pastries and baked food are never stale or old.Robert and staff - you’re as good as family to me.
***A MUST TRY*** I believe I found this place 15 years ago! They have DE-LECTIBLE food and pastries. Our whole company of hundreds would stop in daily, numerous times for some. RTB would cater some smaller events for our company as so many of us loved this place (the worst when our office moved to PHX). You MUST try one of their famous from scratch cookies (chocolate chip) a little doughy in the very middle, crunchy on the very outside edges, soft in the outer middle. Their muffins are delicious (french toast is a fav) moist, and in an upside down bundt shape HUGE. They have giant coconut macaroons (not macarons) that are crispy on the edges, with chocolate chips throughout. Croissants too. Tons of different flavors of baked goods. They have great salads and from scratch dressings. A MUST try, cinnamon roll twists, but definitely call to check when/if they'll have any. THESE ARE TO DIE FOR and they don't have them every day. They are a buttery and cinnamon sugar gooey heaven. If you believe Cinnabon to be amazing, you haven't had amazing until you try their cinnamon twists!!!! The hours are reduced 7a - 3pm Mon-Fri as the two owners have been doing this for MANY years and we're lucky they're still going at it. The owners are hands on working as hard as the staff. They get VERY busy (line to their door) and no seating during rushes, so be prepared (dining in and outside, but it's a coffee shop). Call orders in 15 min ahead of time (more if rush hours), especially if take-out!!! It's in one of the huge story silver and glass buildings literally off Tempe Town Lake. A massive parking garage hides their view from Rio Salado Pkwy, but turn in and after the mini round-about you go through, past the underground parking entrance (for employees only), and you'll see their store front on your right (North) side. Almost all the parking is metered, but if you take out, it's only a few cents. After all these years, I still haven't gotten past this place. Try it, you shouldn't be sorry. If you are, give them another chance, everyone has off times.
This place was an absolute gem! They welcomed me in and made me feel like family. The owners and the staff were as friendly as can be and you can tell they have a ton of regulars that come in to visit and enjoy a great cup of coffee. The food was terrific I enjoyed both breakfast and lunch during my trip. My favorite was their cold brew but the regular coffee was excellent as well. Do yourself a favor, stop in and sit awhile!
I have been going here as part of my lunch practically every day for the last 2 months and have enjoyed every drop of joy I receive on a daily basis from their staff. They always make me feel welcome and are kind and compassionate. Still, the food is absolutely amazing for an affordable price you basically ask them to create anything your heart desires. I will continue to eat here for a very long time!
Amazing coffee shop that also sells breakfast and lunch. Got a chance to briefly chat with the owner who was so genuine, friendly and down to earth. I had salted caramel latte and it was sooo good!! And very tasty lemon lavender muffin. I plan on coming here often. Special place indeed.
