My partner and I stopped in here one afternoon since they have happy hour until 6 and its close to his job. We were the only ones in there, but it was still really fun playing games and drinking beer. I goofed up and spilt my beer half full while getting too into the game we were playing, and the employees promptly brought my over a new full beer and helped me clean up. Super nice of them and totally unexpected! We will come back when we're in the area solely for this interaction.

This is a fun place to visit for a drink or a few. It's got a nice variety of beers, many with enjoyable canine-related names, dog friendly, pictures of dogs along the walls. If only they had a fire hydrant in the men's room... too much? Flights of 6 here (and 8, I believe) are very reasonably priced, and they're served in a metal bone-shaped tray for even more theme. My favorites were their sour cherry and their peanut butter stout. I was expecting the stout to be heavy, but it was actually pleasant and refreshing. I saved it for last and it was a nice finish to the flight... no kibbles though. Reading other reviews, I'm really sorry their mascot, Ziggy, wasn't there, I would have enjoyed the "Ziggy meets Ziggy" moment.

My husband and I were on a mini vacation in March to catch some spring training and warm weather in Phoenix. We both love brewpubs and to check out local craft beers. Sleepy Dog did not disappoint. I started off with a Wet Snout Peanut Butter Milk Stout. I could not resist the name. It was very tasty, but I can't drink more than one heavy beer. I then tried Tail Chaser IPA, it was also very good. My husband had the Feisty Chihuahua and liked it very much. A nice relaxed atmosphere and best of all, dogs are allowed. We will for sure come back here when in Tempe again.

I LOVE it here. Which is why it concerns me that they're not busy. The ambiance is quiet and relaxed, the beer is good, and DOGS ARE WELCOME. What more could you possibly want? Kiddos do well here because they're distracted by the dogs and or the artwork and the service is excellent. Highly recommend. Please visit them, they're open and deserve everyone's business!

One of my favorite breweries in town solely for the atmosphere! The staff is always super friendly and attentive. In my opinion, the beer is just okay here, but the atmosphere outweighs it in my opinion. This is a real hidden gem of a place if you want to spend some time in a chilled out environment with friends or alone to get some work done. One of the obvious attractions here is that you can bring your dog, which makes it an ideal place to have a few drinks at and hang out! Another cool thing is that while they only accept card, their beers are very reasonably priced and include tips. I never feel like I'm spending too much here even if I spend a while hanging out. Definitely worth checking out!

Decent beer, but not great. Some decent guest taps as well, so you will find something you like. Not exactly cheap. No food, but you can bring in, or order outside food. Sadly the no cash policy is a very large entry in the con column for me. There are times you don't want to use debit or credit, but you have to here, so beware. Take cash, and I might bump it a star. Tip is included, and I am not sure that is good thing, as I don't know what the pay is. No way to reward extra good service, so you do not get any, which is the downside of this sort of arrangement. Dog on premises matches the logo, but isn't sleepy.

Chill atmosphere, good beer and the occasional friendly dog.

I can't rate this brewery because they were not open even though the sign said "open 4-9pm on Tuesdays." We sat in the parking lot waiting for the doors to open then I eventually called. No one answered or opened the door. There was a UPS tag on the door so it was clear no one was coming in. A sign saying the bar was closed today would suffice instead of us wasting our time waiting for it not to open. This is a sign of poor business in my opinion. It's a shame because we were excited to try it based on the other Yelp reviews.

My husband and I were really excited to come here as the first two times we came it was under renovation. So we came with our dog. He's small and very friendly so we like to bring him anywhere dog friendly. There were only 1-2 other people here so we sat down to order a beer. Their brewery dog, Ziggy, was friendly with us. He was trying to play with our dog so his owner/bartender insisted we let our dog off leash so they could play. Ziggy, much larger than our dog and after mounting our dog several times caused our dog to get aggressive toward him and they were running all over the bar. I was very uncomfortable and grabbed my dog. The bartender never offered to separate Ziggy. We would have left then if we hadn't already ordered a flight each. I had to put my dog in my car, which I never do and I felt very uncomfortable. My husband and I drank our flights and were totally unimpressed. The best beer I had was the sour by Two Brothers, so not even their beer. My husband didn't like any of them. Get a dog gate to separate your dog, have him on leash, be a responsible owner and offer to put him in the back if he is being aggressive or causing aggression. Don't market yourself as dog friendly if you cant make other dogs feel welcome. It was really an uncomfortable time and the worst part is the beer wasn't even good.
