Susie's Mexican Cafe and Lounge

Small little restaurants are the best traditional Mexican food.

I have been going to Susie's for many years but, it has been couple since I've been. Went last weekend & as to be expected they were packed. No problem. When the waiter took my order, I repeated it 2x & he repeated it back. Red beef plate. I was so disappointed to get the green chili beef plate. I didn't say anything because it took 25-30mn to get our food. We got the appetizer with the meal & the chorizo fondido was cold. The cheese was one lump. The green chili beef & beans were very good but the rice was crunchy. I didn't eat more than two bites. It was quite disappointing overall & spent around $60 on lunch.
Side note: the lady, who I recognize from forever, working the register & seating people was so unpleasant. She literally has a scowl on her face, not once did I see a smile. I get working long hours can be challenging, but if you don't like what you're doing, don't do it. Do something that doesn't require customer service. She looked miserable.

Well me and the wife are from Forney, Tx and I am here working in the Phoenix area. We found Susie's on the inter-web saw it had decent reviews and decided we would try it... LISTEN LINDA.... I had the best tasting beef fajitas I CAN REMEMBER!!!!! Beans and rice are spot on and amazing. The wife had the #4 and it transported her back to her childhood. The service was fantastic the food was absolutely amazing and highly recommended. Only regret is I didn't take any photos to share.

My boyfriend grew up eating the chimichanga and he still loves it.
We have yet to find a suitable replacement, so I'm sure we'll be back as soon as we are able. The cheese omlette was decent.
However, the service is slow and it's very dim inside.

Go here for the shredded beef tacos. Prices are good . Service is very good. Just gets very crowded when busy. Other that that ,it's a good place to eat.

Absolutely 💯 % excellent authentic Mexican food! Hands down the BEST Mole Enchiladas whole beans and rice. Now I normally would order Cilantro & lime rice if available cause I generally don't like Mexican rice! Buy there's was so good light and fluffy textured. Very good. Chips and salsa were also very good, and other than slow service in an almost empty restaurant! My only complaint would be the small basket of chips to share & small lil cup of salsa that came with the chips, and the fact that we were never offered more even though we waited an almost absurd amount of time for our food and were more or less ignored by our server till our food was finally done! Our server was very polite when she acknowledged us but was pretty absentee the rest the time! Maybe her and the manager were just having bad days... The food was still excellent the salsa as well just wish we got more of it to enjoy with our small basket of chips... I would still recommend this to other people to try though. We didn't wait to be seated so I'd say the girls just had A bad night.

The food is good. It's what I go back for. The staff, well they get the job done. Not very personable.

Chips with chunky salsa and spicy salsa were so good. The dinner plates were delicious! Our server was attentive and made sure we were all taken care of. We will definitely be back again soon!

The food was very good. I went there for lunch, and the lunch menu was priced well and even came with a drink. Great deal for lunch and will love to try it for dinner someday.
