I’ve been a patron multiple times before and after the SECOND raid of 2025 and let me say, this bar is racist towards those of color. I was cut off tonight because I was too loud. I was talking to a friend and because it was not an appropriate volume for the bartender, she cut me off. Only me. Not the people that were talking as loud as I was, they were all white. If I was SoOo drunk how could I write this very tasteful review.
This bar caters to those of underage and discriminates to those of color that are OF AGE. I’m absolutely disgusted by my experience here and I hope to warn others that this is a place to AVOID. This is a place that passes themselves off as a dive bar but they’re anything but. I will make sure the police keep a hard eye on this place. How dare someone cut only me off and not the party I was with. I tried to give this bar a chance but they’re not worth it.

This is true college dive bar. I was there on a Monday to meet up with friends. Although the TVs were too loud with a random football game the vibe is cool in this bar with chalk graffiti and sharpe signatures pretty much floor to ceiling. There was no table service and the bar tender seemed a bit distracted but super nice. We had apps and drinks. They were out of the ipa that we ordered and did not have the rum we ordered (cpt mprgan). But the simple bar food was good and prices were good. According to news reports they are in some trouble for underage service.

What a place!! If you like dive bars this place is for you. The food is amazing and I would highly recommend the chicken bites. All of the sauces are homemade. I have to give props to Sheri that took care of us multiple times and she is super friendly and she remembers what I prefer. What a hidden gem!!

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never encountered such horrible racism in my life. This was a terrible experience. Not only did they do this but they also ADDED their own tip to the bill!!!! Who does that? Then when I left a negative review on their IG page they blocked me. What a joke. Avoid this place at all costs.
Esther is genuinely insufferable. She seems to be in a bad mood at all times, and treats customers like they’re inconveniencing her. She has zero customer service skills.

Was at a work conference downtown, got off the train. I was business casual dressed: slacks, polo, and my backpack. I wasn't allowed in because they dont allow backpacks. Seems they dont want professionals in their tavern. 10/9/2025
