I've been to another Tocaya location, but it was fun trying out the Tempe location! I loved the set up - one side iswhere you ordered and the other is where the bar is and where you can dine in. I definitely recommend dining in because the ambiance is so cute and has the best vibes! Everything is prepared so well and comes out so pretty! I tried the taco combo this time with the Baja and the carne asada tacos, a side of street corn, and hibiscus ginger agua fresca. Oh and of course an order of chips and salsa and the best thing on the menu - the waffle churros! Seriously, don't pass on those waffle churros. It's always a treat to come here and eat fried fish since I'm gluten free. Pretty much everything here is gluten free or can be made gluten free which is amazing! The service was great and the employees were very kind and helpful.

I gotta say after having an obscene visit at apple bees last March with my buddy raj, I've never been the same. I don't want to talk about it! everyday I would ball my eyes out until one day I looked up to see tocaya. First thing I noticed in the high class establishment is that they don't serve mozzarella sticks. Any good business owner knows that an item like mozzarella sticks can be extremely dangerous and it is not an indulgence to partake in or should be open to the public at all. That is why I am taking legal action on apple bees, I mean at lease they should warn customers that don't have an asphyxiation for long greesy foods, but I digress. Tocaya had wonderful customer service, I was served by Nicole who was just a doll. After chowing down on there fairly priced protein bowl that wasn't too long to swallow, I left satisfied with a smile on my face. I recommend anyone to come out here and give it a try!R.I.P Raj

We ordered 2 gluten free burritos. One of them came on a normal wheat wrap, so one of us couldn’t eat. The rice was so dry it was comparable to Filiberto’s. The beans had no flavor aside from ridiculous amounts of raw onion. The chicken & the crema also had 0 flavor whatsoever. It wasn’t even spicy, I felt like I was eating a freezer burrito. For the price + the commute I would rate this experience a 0/10. Definitely wont be back to this location as it has gone significantly downhill over the last year. Very disappointing, considering the Scottsdale location we used to go to (which was great) closed down.

This was an UberEats order so i can't speak on in person. Staying at a hotel a few nights and was looking for healthier options. I noticed they had a bunch of vegan and vegetarian options - I'm neither but often find those places have fresher produce and pay more attention to details. Ordered the Chicken Tinga burrito bowl, plantain chips and guacamole and then i totally ruined any healthiness by trying the waffle churros w caramel sauce... The chicken bowl was delicious. The plantains were okay. I love plantains. These weren't my fave. Those stupid churro waffles were dangerously good. With delivery they were soggy but that's definitely not their fault - i anticipated that. Even being a tiny bit soggy i could live on those alone. I will definitely try them again on future trips. Hope they open one in Tucson/Marana.

I had the spicy cilantro bowl with vegan chick'n, and it was fantastic Also got a margaritas for happy hour ($5) which was good, but quite small, looked like about 10-12 ounces and mostly ice, so not the best deal. Overall, a great spot for a big group of friends to all hang out!

Good, consistent service. Trendy and delicious margaritas. Love that they use Espolon tequila and give you the option to upgrade to other well known tequilas. Beautiful interior space. Nice outdoor seating with a view and great people watching. Kids meal is a great value. Get the chicken with the rice and beans for your littles.Cons: Vegan nacho cheese is almost inedible. It does have a good flavor but it’s like someone poured a thin oil and water together and called it cheese. It is very watery and oily, and made my stomach hurt for the rest of the evening.The margaritas don’t have very much liquid in them. I love the cups but in three sips they’re gone. Would appreciate more value there.The staff also felt the need to stack chairs loudly outside at dinner time, for no apparent reason. It’s a pet peeve of mine when staff tries to close areas of the restaurant prematurely at 7pm.
We ordered the Yucatán Chop salad and the Mushroom and Jalapeño Quesalita and man oh man, did they hit the spot! They tasted fresh, were seasoned and flavored to perfection, and included a great combo of textures. The inside of the restaurant is trendy and cute and kept very cool, AC wise. :) The service was top notch - the gentleman at the front desk who also served our order was clearly passionate about the food they make, which was awesome to see, and very personable. We'd love to come by again if we're in town in the future!
Its the same food that all mexican restaurants offer but tasty and good quality, plus salads. Lemonade and food are excelent and Fast.

After I eat their chicken burrito I put on overalls and watched Deliverance. There is Nothing Mexican or ethnic at all about this Burrito. It taste like they poured an entire bottle of wine ? on the meat This seems like something Duck Dynasty would eat. This is not Mexican food this is white entirely. The Asian girl at the counter was nice. They put her there to attract old White men now it makes sense.

This is great option for grabbing a bite to eat with your friends. We found this place just by walking by ! They have a good option of 3 tacos for $8 on Taco Tuesday so couldn’t pass that up! Honesty it was so cute inside it was hard not to take a photo. I love the way it’s decorated. Very tasteful. I liked 2 out 3 of my tacos so I was pretty satisfied about that . The guacamole here was great ! They have water available to all with mason jar glasses to sip from . Also there is a chill bar inside with lots of wine options! Margaritas are $5 on Tuesdays.
