I’ve been here several times now. The staff is friendly and service is great. Their pricing is fair for the amount of food you get and the taste. It’s a great fast Japanese food spot. Their curry chicken is comforting, their katsu and katsu Don crispy.Yes. Most of their food is the entree and white rice…as it would be for the most part if you were making it as a dinner item.Their Miso Ramen was tasty, and has less frills than many other ramen shops, but that broth ?The yakisoba is great but yes, they do char grill the chicken for it.My only real suggestion is slightly less oil in their fried rice, as both times I’ve gotten it it’s extremely greasy. (It’s still very tasty though!)It’s a simple, good, hole in the wall restaurant run by hardworking people serving good food at a fair price.

I am disappointed that the rice was not properly cooked when I ordered curry chicken with rice for my lunch break. The curry was good, but the rice was hard and inedible. I ended up giving it to birds. and trash .Today is Friday, February 23, 2024, and although I love Japanese food, I hope that next time the restaurant can serve the correct dish. Thank you.

If you're looking for a quick meal with solid flavors in the Asian food arena, Tokyo Stop is a great choice! They have a good variety of standards available like Kung poa chicken, sweet and sour etc but my favorite is the teriyaki bowl. Be careful when ordering this one, it doesnt automatically come with vegetables, only chicken. Its SO much better with the vegetables! So, try to make sure and order them. I have been eating at the Tempe location on Priest and University Dr., SE corner by Dunkin Donuts and an Asian Market, since 1997! I went on my first lunch date there with my now BFF. I was impressed with the selection of fresh ingredients and how fast and friendly they are. It's nothing fancy, just good food for a reasonable price in a great location! If you're craving Japanese fast food, check out the Tokyo stop! They don't disappoint!

Food is always amazing here and service is typically fast enough to fit inside a lunch hour. Have been eating here from time to time for about 5 years now, and never had a complaint about the food, service, or the cleanliness of the restaurant. Will always recommend this to anyone who asks.
A fantastic, delicious authentic Japanese restaurant! The staff is friendly, the portions are perfect, and the prices are very reasonable. The Udon is to die for, but all the food is absolutely delicious. My only complaint is there's not enough seating!Update as of December 2023, six years after the initial review: the Udon is just as delicious as I remember! Highly, HIGHLY recommend still!!

Chicken curry excellent! Only to much rice.Could have used more veggies! Only had carrots and potato. Second time, ordered chicken curry, large. Asked for no rice, took it home added more chicken. Onions, bell pepper and mushrooms. Got 3 meals out of it. The Japanese Curry has excellent flavor! Will go back over and over!
