My brother Jose recommended me to Elvira's, Went to Elvira's 2 days in a row one for my best friends birthday and next day for my husband's birthday, Both days I had an amazing time, the place is beautiful, The food is amazing, my hubby order a rib eye steak, it was perfectly ? cooked and delicious, and the salsa that comes with the mochomos it's spicy but delicious, service was amazing we didn't get Able as our waiter but he was attending the table next to us and wow I was impressed on how professional he talks especially when he is describing the food specials it's like he knew even the pinch of salt that is put on the food, owner is very professional and friendly and is always making sure we are getting the best service, over all food is delicious, service is great, Elvira's made both my best's friend and my husband's birthday a good place to enjoy a good dinner good music, good service and good environment, will definitely be coming back

Our experience really can’t be fixed, but at least there is some justice in outing the malevolent customer service. Picture this- first time in, special occasion, reservations in advance. I had let them know we preferred a good table for a birthday I.e not next to a thoroughfare! Arrived on time, table not ready, then seated 20 minutes after reserved time and placed literally right next to the host station. Host wasn’t welcoming or friendly and set a negative tone. Food was great, except when did tacos become taquitos? Anyway, tried to salvage the occasion and look past the poor personnel. Time for birthday cake! Fun, right? Not at Elvira’s! While 6 or 7 other diners enjoyed lit candles and jovial kindness by their waiters, ours didn’t even seem to know I had reserved specifically for a birthday. So, I awkwardly asked for the birthday cake in front of my guest. Waitress returns a few minutes later with no candle and not even a happy birthday, just plops the dessert down and walks away. We were both in shock, like is this for real? Never in my life have I seen wait staff actually go out of their way to ruin a special occasion. Ended badly and no fancy spices are going to fix terrible service and mean people. First and last. And now we need to find a place to celebrate for real. Want our money back, but since that won’t happen, a sincere apology might be a good start. I guess we should be wealthy white boomers in order to be given basic respect? Nice.

We enjoyed ourselves last night ( Aug 3rd, 2024) for our anniversary. This was our first time at Elvira’s so we were enthralled with the lights and decor. Food was delicious and beyond expectations. The issue was this- we asked if we could substitute shrimp for the chicken in the mole. Our waiter said “ of course.” When the check arrived the bill showed that our entrees were 10 dollars MORE EACH. We were not informed and that, to me, is not ok. We will be back, however my suggestion is to make it clear that substituting items is clearly very expensive. We will be back.
Very disappointed. The food was mediocre and way overpriced. Dry chicken brests. And a couple of flies made it worse!
