Ordered a pizza , after the order I got up to wash my hands , As I was going to the bathroom a male employee was coming out, I then went in to discover a toilet filled with urine and I mean filled, " No urinals just one toilet" and a dry sink, absolutely disgusting, They did satisfy our hunger, after that I didn't want to partake in the food. Dirty hands are gross, an employee who wouldn't even bother to flush the toilet? I can just imagine how well the food is cared for....Now I know why it was empty, The employees did all hang out at the same table, We also felt like we were an inconvenience to the good time they were having hanging out.. Huge pass on ever going to this place again..

As a local I'm disappointed at the food quality, especially with the outrageous pricing. My hamburger was raw twice and my pizza was soggy. I tried a few times to give chances but staffs never around when you enter and I'd say Not worth trying again for the high price of Everything. Sorry very disappointed ?

I ordered a to go large pizza 1/2 magherita pizza and 1/2 regular pepperoni and Kalamata olive. It was very dry!!!! It was then I realized there was NO cheese on the pepperoni/olive half. It was the worst pizza I have ever eaten!

Had an absolutely amazing lunch with my elderly mother and adult niece. We happened into the place because our original destination was unexpectedly closed. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food was delicious, service was quick and thoughtful, and the beers were served in icy cold mugs. We had the fried mozzarella which is not frozen cheese sticks! It was fresh mozzarella, lightly breaded and topped with homemade red sauce and more cheese, broiled in a cast iron dish and served with fresh crostini. The caesar salad was crisp and delicious and we followed up with chicken parmesan and a huge helping of linguini with clams, mussels and shrimp in a super spicy red sauce. And I mean spicy, not for the weak hearted for sure but absolutely amazing. We can't wait to go back.

Was their first order of the day. No greeting except from two employees sitting at a table giving me no notice. Finally one said Que Pasa to someone in another room. Man came out to take my order. Upon pick up I paid by credit card and tipped tho felt service did not deserve such. The edge crust on the pizza was so hard it could be used to rasp callouses on someone’s heels. The cheese on the Margarita pizza was barely none existent and spot placed in chunks $22. Chicken wings 6 were palatable $12. El Greco salad had old lettuce that was slimy and needed to be picked out and was missing ingredients that menu stated would be present $16. Then desert oh boy. A small slice of Limonecello cake that was undercooked with a dab of whipped cream was totally bad but wait it gets worse $10!!! Last they charged a fee of 2.8% to use my credit card. Obviously price gouging for sub par food, service is happening. Treat your local who live here customers this way and you wonder why their business will slowly die even when the snow birds return

Visiting Tubac for the arts? Afterward stop at the Italian Peasant for their terrific eats. If I hadn't checked out the online reviews I would probably have passed this restaurant by as it looks more like a sports bar from the outside. Inside it's cozy and cool and if you get there when it first opens - 11am - you'll have your pick of spot as it's seat yourself. We ordered the antipasto which was amazing, it had nicely breaded eggplant strips on the top and generous portions of meats, artichoke, and spicy peppers. We ordered the small which was plenty for 3 people. For mains we had the clam linguini which had fresh clams not the chopped up clams most places serve. Ordered a small eggplant parmigiana which came with a side of rigitoni pasta in marinara sauce. These came with a nice serving of garlic bread. Also ordered a full size Peasant hero which was thick with chunks of mozarella and grilled eggplant settled between two fresh slices of bread. So good I forgot to take a picture. Really happy with our choice, the only minor critique is that the clam linguini could've used more garlic to take it over the top. Highly recommend eating here.

For the price, it was a lousy pizza, cheap ingredients, canned tomatoes, minimal mozzarella and sausage. Won't be going there again.

I had two meals in last week at the Italian business. Both were really excellent. It's service and quality of the menu items has improved over the last few months dramatically.
I had the linguine and clams pasta and the primavera vegetarian sandwich. They both were so excellent.
I'm not one to leave. Good reviews for restaurants very often but I do so for the Italian visit without hesitation

We stopped today to celebrate Mothers Day. Started with Veg Antipasto. It's a meal in itself. I had the recommended steak sandwich with fries and ate it all. My wife, their awesome chicken piccata. As we were eating a server walked by with a gorgeous pizza. (yes they can be that good looking) So we ordered one to go. We are not drinkers so it wasn't alcohol induced. The food here is not only delicious but very appealing. I like that I can ask "what do you recommend" and I've never been disappointed. If you have not eaten here, you are remiss.

Our 1st time here. We always stay at Tubac golf & spa and typically eat at the restaurant on site. We're happy to find this place. Ordered a large pizza (and it was large) and the linguine marinara. For the 3 of us, we couldn't finish the pizza. We'll be back for sure. Folks were nice and good service.
