I popped in Ajo Cafe after several people in a medical office I had visited, recommended the breakfast burritos. I was so very pleased to be warmly greeted by Max and a beautiful lady, who treated me like long lost family! The brekkie burrito was to go, so I enjoyed it tremendously, on the way to my next appointment. Extremely good food and outstanding service! Will be a regular customer for sure!!!
This place is great, so friendly, food was perfect, I hate my eggs over cooked, this place did everything right, I will definitely be back.

Best cafe in Tucson, maybe the whole state, nothing fancy just great food, and service, 1st time I came here was in the early eighties, the first day I told them I wanted milk with ice in it with my lunch, the second day as soon as I sat down the waitress brought me a glass of milk with ice in it with out asking, their service and friendliness was above par, I’m seventy five years old now, and I still talk about this restaurant. It’s my favorite in the whole country, I just wish I could go there every day. Since I live in Ohio that’s not possible, but anytime I go through Tucson, I’ll make it a point to stop, even if I have to stay overnight to be there during their business hours,the food has always been excellent and the service is the best I’ve ever experienced, and I’ve been in all of the lower 48 states. Best people best restaurant in the country, that’s obvious since they have been there over 40 years that I know of. Love you Ajo Cafe!

My 1st time here. Looks like a hole in the wall and those are the BEST. Food was good, great prices. As customers left they gave the waiter and waitress hugs. Family with the locals. They sit down at a tables and clean everything on it. Even the walls. Such a lovely little spot. I’m happy I found it. If you are close by you should stop in.
