Ive been here several times (mostly for the saturday prime rib) and have always left very happy. The food is great, has good flavor and is plated well but what really stands out is the service. went for Vday dinner and although it was a little busy we never felt unimportant or looked over. We had multiple servers come to us making sure we were taken care of while at the same time they knew when to let us have our privacy and eat without being interrupted while having a mouth full of food. Honestly that goes a long way in this review. so many places dont think twice to wait until you are in the middle of a conversation to interupt to see if you need a refill, this place actually knows to wait until exactly the right time. the food came out fast and was amazing. i wouldnt hesitate recommending the Alloro to my friends and I have done so several times.

We come here for the Prime rib special which is always excellent. Reason for a lower scale star review is they got rid of the Alfredo which is a go to here. Would like another pasta option besides pesto for the kids. Great service!

We didn't have any family to get together with on Christmas day so we decided to go out for dinner and a movie. We chose to go to Alloro D.O.C. because we had been there a few times before and really enjoyed it. The food was great, but the service was terrible, even though they weren't busy. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation, and waited by the hostess stand. The bartender said someone would be with us in a few minutes. We waited over 10 minutes and no one came. He spoke to us again and said that he told somebody we were there and somebody would be over soon. They still didn't come. When someone finally came, they asked us how many were in our party and they also asked the people behind us in line how many were in their party. We said two. They said four. And then they proceeded to take the people that were behind us in line, telling us they'd be back for us in a minute but they didn't come back. The bartender told us we could wait at the bar if we wanted to so we sat at the bar. When he came over to wait on us, we told him that we had a reservation. He told us if we had a reservation we had to go wait by the hostess stand. By the time someone finally came to seat us, we had been waiting for 20 minutes - 15 minutes past our reservation time. After we were seated, it was another 5 minutes before they came to take our order, and another 5 minutes before they even gave us a glass of water. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was very good, but the waitress never checked on us to see if we needed anything until it was time to ask if we wanted dessert. After dessert, we waited another 15 minutes, and she never brought us the bill so we had to go into the bar and ask for it. We will never go back there to eat again.

The restaurant only offers a very average buffet for breakfast. Servers were extremely understaffed and overwhelmed. Servers are very pleasant in spite of an impossible job.

Fact: I rely on honest reviews and here is mine: I recently dined here with several of my girlfriends after a long day at the Tucson Gem Show. The food was essentially inedible it was so bad, and I do not write this happily or casually, but feel people should know. Several of us ordered the two pasta dishes (one essentially a meatball and spaghetti dish, the other a pasta and cheese dish), and both were truly one of the worst meals of our collective lives (dry pasta and sauce on all, meatballs were some gooey gross concoction...just honestly disgusting). How does one mess up simple pastas? Another friend ordered the steak dish and it was horrid. And the nacho's we ordered for an appetizer looked like some old, dry dog food with chips in it. The bill for what we got was exorbitant. Really so disappointing, particularly for a Hilton. I absolutely do not recommend this spot. Solid Fail.

We loved our dinner on Prime Rib night! The Prime Rib was so tender and delicious. Also, the braised short Rib was amazing. Very generous portions and Ms. Madison was our service technician (server). She was warm, kind, funny, and her timing was spot on.
We had such a wonderful time! First time there, and we will be back! Thank you, Madison, for being your true self! We love it! The sous chef also came to our table to check on us and is very proud of his short rib creation. Again, it was delicious!

I ordered the Short Rib pasta, and it did not disappoint. The gnocchi were the perfect consistency, and the short rib melted in my mouth. I followed it up with their canolli. The flavor was fantastic, and the shell was perfectly crispy. 10 stars. Very authentic.

This is the best deal in Tucson, and Tucson's best kept secret. Alloro D.O.C. at the top of the stairs of Tucson Hilton East. Friday night they have a Prime Rib special for $25.00. You get a sumptuous prime rib with au ju and choice of baked, or garlic mashed potatoes. The food, and service is always quick and delicious. Our host, server and som, and busser, was the restaurant supervisor. Monette carried the work load single handedly, and didn't miss a beat. She was very personable with a great attitude. They seem to be understaffed right now obviously, but you wouldn't have known that other than she was there to do everything for us, might I add very quickly and efficiently. Last time we were here we had delicious homemade cannoli's. Where can you get a quality steak in Tucson for 25.00 dollars? Friday night at the Alloro D.O.C. Hilton East is the only place in town with a steak at this great price. Not to mention the place is comfy, relaxing, and has a lovely esthetic and ambience, that puts one at ease. You will walk out of here feeling full and content. One more note, Fantastic 10 dollar glasses of wine are offered as well. Try the Washington vintage, H3 for a full bodied, rich, fruity cab that is drinkable with steak, or even sometime, as a stand alone. You may purchase your own at Safeway for under $20.00. Delicious! Alloro D.O.C. is a must do on your Friday night, after a tough week, or just a regular date night! Bon Appetit!

Parking: They have a ramp going up the hill from the parking lot, and an elevator once inside if you need to bypass the staircase.

Had a wonderful dinner here. A close friend lives in Tucson so we decided to eat where I was staying. Our server(s) (( from water to dinner)) were on hand, professional but friendly. We even were shown a little tip for the holiday decorations I was looking at.
