Excellent upscale restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Traditional breakfast favorites plus several unique creations. Nice ambiance. Slower pace so don't be in a hurry.

Whatever oil used for cooking several items was not nice as we left with not a good feeling.

In my first, ever, visit to Arizona Inn’s ‘bar’, I was impressed; and I wish the Arizona Inn wasn’t so far (20 miles) from my home, or I’d go there regularly.
The food was (almost) uniformly superb and generous of helpings, the waiter was friendly and helpful, and the ‘bar’ was a nicely decorated, light and airy, and fine place to dine with a friend and her companion for her birthday (they treated us!).
So, not wanting to ‘look a gift horse in the mouth’ … as some of us used to say … allow me to caution you on a couple of things about the Arizona Inn … at least its Bar and Patio.
Basically, the ‘caution’ is one thing: The Arizona Inn tends to, in my view, under-season their food. Maybe this is because they are catering to their client’s health awareness. But, for whatever reason, the three dishes which ‘suffered’ most from this were the reuben, the vichyssoise, and the potato salad.
The potato salad simply did not have enough salt. Maybe this was because the people who go there, most often, are watching their salt. But, a properly seasoned food shouldn’t need added salt. Picky, yes, I know.
The vichyssoise was, to my taste, to be avoided. It lacked flavor of any kind, not salt, not leeks, it did not even taste like potatoes and, whatever the green liquid on top was, it had no taste. It did have a nice, pleasing, remarkably smooth consistency, so it was pleasing on the palate. But no taste.
The reuben was, for what it was (which is not a reuben) one of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve had in a long time, perfectly toasted, and tasty. But, it lacked sour kraut (or at least enough that I could taste it), it lacked thousand island dressing (or at least enough that i could taste it) and the ‘rye’ bread had almost no discernible rye taste. To me. My wife said she loved it, however. And, I did enjoy it very much too. But, it’s like the time I ordered “crème brûlée” in a restaurant in Pasadena … when it was served, it was made with CHOCOLATE pudding! I asked, and the man said “That’s the way we make it.”. As if that was a reason to omit the description ‘chocolate’ before ‘crème brulee’.
Anyway, the reuben was worth eating, and very much so. It just wasn’t what most people will think of as a reuben.
‘I highly recommend the Audubon Bar & Patio. Just avoid the vichyssoise, and get more sour kraut for the Reuben. :-)

Best meal and service....maybe ever!! Loved everything about it!! Great location for our anniversary dinner!!
I'm not sure who these folks are with these horrible experiences lately? Our server was a top-notch professional! The cocktails were delicious. My burger was perfection. The Paperadelle pasta was flavorful. The piano player set a great mood in the bar. I'm not sure how the experience could have been better. So glad I ignored the recent reviews and went there to check it out for myself.

What a unique dining experience! Loved the beautiful historic ‘old Tucson' decor & building inside and out. Staff were professional and friendly. Food artful & delicious, prepared by experts. Thank you sincerely.
Bar tender is offensive and rude will absolutely never go back there again. There was no need for the extra negative comment that she said specifically when people are drinking.
A friend and I met for lunch here today after a 4-year absence and had a mixed experience. On the upside, our waiter proved to be one of the best I've had worldwide -- pleasant; knowledgeable about the offerings; attentive but not to the point of hovering; and helpful. The patio setting showed off the grounds beautifully with a lush green lawn, sporting a lovely border of flowers and the inn's distinctive salmon-colored buildings providing a backdrop. Only two other outside tables had customers at 11:45 a.m. and just one customer occupied a table inside. We seated ourselves and our waiter came immediately with menus and place settings. The menu seemed to be light on offerings, compared to our previous visit, but there certainly was enough from which to choose. I had been looking forward to a veggie burger, which had wowed me in the past, but this was no longer a possibility. Though we're aware that prices have gone up throughout Tucson, we considered $10 for a small bowl of soup and $20 for a basic quesadilla without additions for luncheon fare to be a tad costly. My friend chose vichyssoise soup and Brussels with panna cotta ($18); I opted for the quesadilla. She said her selections were excellent. I thought my choice was mediocre at best. The quesadilla, in three pieces, featured a huge amount of cheese that oozed from paper thin flour tortillas. Other ingredients, such as diced tomatoes, appeared on the side. I disliked both the taste and consistency and ate only a small amount. We each ordered a brownie for dessert, but neglected to ask the price. They proved to be fresh, delicious and quite rich and came with a few pieces of fruit. When the bill came, we learned that the brownies cost $12 each. With one coffee and a diet Coke, the final cost for lunch with tax and tip was $105, an amount that would keep me from returning unless it was a very special occasion. Currently (Dec. 6, 2022), the Audubon Bar is the only place, where the public can order breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Arizona Inn. No reservations are accepted. The inn's lovely dining room remains closed, likely because of a lack of necessary staff. Plenty of free parking exists -- a large lot and nearby street spaces, limited to 3 hours.

I have fond memories of this historic Tucson icon with many delicious meals through the years. However, lunch today was practically inedible. I ordered the Caesar Salad and was served mostly brown tinged chopped up romaine with very few edible pieces and tasteless bits of tomato. Frankly I should have sent this mess back. I'm shocked that this was even sent out from the kitchen! Our waiter was very good and it's not in my nature to make a fuss. However, this was unacceptable and I am incredibly disappointed. I left a voice mail for the food and beverage manager but of course, have not heard back. Shame on whoever thinks this was an acceptable plate of food to be served to a guest.
Excellent
Our dinner the first night was exceptional and server, Ruby, was personable and very professional. We were sad to see the restaurant was not busy as our food was absolutely excellent. Breakfast the next morning was sunny and pleasant on the patio.
We enjoyed mid 20th century elegance in the dining room with service and menu to match. You will have a similar experience.
The food was prepared to perfection and the staff were courteous and professional. Our service was excellent and we were not rushed at all. The overall experience was very positive and we can highly recommend this restaurant with confidence.
